  1. Your far too honest mate. I know you should always tell your insurance company the truth but there just taking the ****. Why money for renewal as well!? Pay them the sum for the mileage then get shot of them would be my opinion.
  2. I recognize that car...oh wait I saw it on Saturday when I was speaking to you. Never got a chance to have a natter as I was fried and had another shift to go. Hopefully see you at a meet soon
  3. 20 pund hammer and smash away the ballard. I was there today as well, never noticed the car. Were you at Scotsturf last week?
  4. Free ear defenders with that...?
  5. Well I'll fight the Classics corner with my deceased Wagon... Before... ...after
  6. HID Ballasts have a thermal protection on them, when the electricity surges they overheat and shut off. The reason why they will take a few attempts is due to them needing to cool down and reset. Not ideal but better that than blowing something. I have HID on the Saab and I think they are excellent. Very clear light and looks pretty cool. Classic owners beware fitting HID units. The lense will give an uneven refraction spread and could see the car failing at MOT time. www.hids4u.co.uk
  7. Agreed. I made that mistake with a very expensive set of STi rears.
  8. Thanks again. The white/ blue contrast looks good Ed. Nice decal choice.
  9. Cheers for that. Next Glasgow meet!?
  10. Those DC decals would look good on my Snap-On Scooby toolchest. Let me know how much you want for the leftovers mate.
  11. I'm Elephant as well. 24 with a 2004 Saab Aero 280hp with mods declared. Had a driving ban and also a few points on there. Not a Subaru but £500 fully comp aint bad at all, closest was a grand.
  12. You can also buy a STi powered Quadbike. Need to be VEEEEEERY brave for those toys.
  13. Yes in theory it SHOULD, but if you have a decat then it may continuosly overfuel. I would suggest swapping the sensor first, yes. I would also check your MAF. Some have intermittent issues and not always throw up codes. Best to test with it plugged in and then not. If nothing changes then you have a fault there also.
  14. Search Pentagon or Strathclyde Auto Tints. The latter is in Hillington, unsure where Pentagon have shifted to.
  15. Removal of the Lambda Sensor would throw a code up constantly so it must be looped through the ECU at somepoint. I would be going for the latter but will that alone stop the high emission reading?!
  16. I reckon I was £550- £600 for that, but I'm going back to 2007 so prices may have gone up.
  17. I know a lot on here will say Meerkat, but I've had 6 or 7 exhausts fabricated and fitted by these guys. Having welder in the blood, the workmanship on the pipes are excellent. In my eyes, if it aint broken don't fix it hence why I've used no-one else. As for price it varies a huge amount on car and fitting. They can quote over the phone. www.stainlessexhausts.com
  18. "People who sit at 50mph in the MIDDLE lane of the motorway when the inside lane is clear" What is that all about, really. Im not a tailgater by any means, that's also a pet hate but the centre lane is a "Comfort Zone" for a lot of drivers. Not too fast to be tagged as a speeder, not too slow to be tagged as a Sunday driver. Its should be named the Mediocre lane for boring, annoying, people carrying, school running, flat capping, bus driving, woman chatting, ****heading prats! Traffic lights are also tad annoying, just try living at the far end of Braheead behind Xscape. It takes me half a bloody hour to get to Glasgow Audi...
  19. Being an Uplawmoron I know a lot of the youth from there mate, cant promise any info but I'll ask around. Looks like a panel respray to me. JB Coachworks!?
  20. Yeah I reckon the cars these are fitted to seem to be N/A
  21. One had flipped over Richie, bad crash that un. Thursday night at around 4am I passed a truck and a Police X5 on there side just passed diversion on the M8 WestBound. What happened there Rich!?
  22. I think it is mate. RS4's use a similar exhaust system but it isn't automatic. On the steering whel there is an "S" that sticks it into "**** off a shovel" mode. This changes the map, opens the gate in the exhaust and the seat squeezes you a bit.
  23. Trackday shouldnt have killed the bearing. Just sounds like a suspect part to me. Warranty!?
  24. Active exhaust system. I'm pretty sure Aston Martin use these and don't quote me but also Ferrari!? Unsure what it would be like on a turbocharged car though. Price sounds about right for the system.
  25. Just noticed the leather haha posh get!!
