  1. Chris, those roadworks at the bowtrees were supposed to be continuous for a certain number of weeks, but they seem to have stopped them for a month or so, and as such they still have time left to run. As I said though, the Nadics website is utterly useless and doesn't give a date when they're due to restart. Just "end of september".
  2. 7:20 is fine, if not a touch early. But I will be there. On one condition ........... The bowtrees roundabout might be shut this weekend. The nadics website is being being particularly useless just now, and only says those roadworks are due to start again at "the end of september", and they only fall on weekends, so that would make this weekend a likely choice. I forgot to look at the signs on my way past this morning, but I'll do it later. So if we do need to change routes is it quicker going round the back of Stirling and Alloa (my alternative route to work) or over the Forth? If going via the forth then showcase or the Harthill services would be a good meeting spot. Round the backroad then the services at Stirling as the second meeting point probably.
  3. Are those times not a wee bitty late? I'll meet you at the kinky bridge waste ground, hopefully with my mate in his Impreza with my spare wheels. Don't strip the shell station of all its goodies too!
  4. Great stuff Cal. Remember and bring the missus so she can see the wonders of Carbon spoilers.
  5. How cool would a full 360 cars parked in a circle panorama be? Very cool. Loving the work Andy. Did you stitch it with a particular bit of software or are you a hands on with the airbrush in photoshop kind of guy? Grant, I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to join in. Perhaps 2 shots can be done - one with members/regulars who own other Marques and one without. You're a regular here and from my short term with the club it seems that everyone is welcome, and that's the way it should be really...
  6. A question for the guys that already have Defis - can you use the warning light attachments as a shift light without using a Tacho gauge?
  7. Anyone fancy starting a book on when Gumball's clutch will give up if he attempts 5K clutch dumps with 400 or so horses and a standard clutch?
  8. I've gone for the 20th but either suits. Perth sounds good to me. An hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh and not much more from Aberdeen. It's the fairest place really. Unless we found out where everyone lived then worked out some sort of maths where we found a central point between the furthest south and the furthest north.
  9. The 'ring is mighty impressive. Try looking for some of the classic tracks and where their older sections used to go. 10 and 15 mile race tracks that just blow the mind. Driving round them using tyres with no grip and no aerodynamics at all must have taken proper balls.
  10. Happened this morning Dipsy. Car went co-driver side on into a tree. Truly tragic.
  11. You been to the grand canyon with it Grant? If you change the tilt and what not it appears in 3D. Cool as f*ck doesn't come near it. Shame more of Scotland isn't covered in the high res.
  12. Xtremescoobies have them quite cheap too. You'll struggle to find them in America or HK for cheaper.
  13. Good luck Jamie. Do you get cheaper insurance on your car if you're only using it 50% of the year? Will you still be tinkering with cars during the off weeks for pocket money/fun?
  14. You can't be that small minded Chris?
  15. Well surely at KH next Sunday there should be a good turn out of cars taking part and some spectators turning out too. Might be worth before or after said event that we get the cars lined up in one part of the car park and get some decent photos.
  16. I was looking for the new Japanese Performance yesterday but couldn't see it. Picked up J tuner for the first time though and I'm quite impressed.
  17. So many mods, so little cash. New lightweight rims and rubber - £1K knowing my tastes. Defis - £LOTS, but oh so pretty. ICE really needs sorted with speakers and brown bread/dynomat - £Not cheap. And on it goes. Or I could leave it the way it is. NAHHHHH.
  18. This'll be my 557th actually, and I know it's traditional to mark the occasion of the 555th, but I don't remember which bit of inane dribbling that was. So a big feck off to the lot of you. I work it out that you collectively owe me nigh on a grand for all the mods I've been forced to buy. Although I look at oobster's modding habits and know it could be worse. Roll on the next 555.
  19. Shame they couldn't have got a WRC car instead. Proper mans sport. 9/10, must try harder.
  20. Trade in you say? Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. I bought a classic road angel back in December from Halfords when it was half price. But it's a bit chunky. I don't tend to use my Sat Nav (which is done via my phone) for the cameras, only if I'm going somewhere I don't know how to get to.
  21. Cal, that's quite costly mate. Fair enough the Road Angel database is top notch, but you can get TomTom Go or PDA and TomTom software for cheaper, and download the free POIs of speed cameras, red light cameras, every shell station, every McDonalds and so forth too.
  22. Unit 88, Evans Business Centre, Earls Road, Grangemouth - 01324 492768 Glasgow one is - Unit 5, Alexandra Parade Industrial Estate, Glasgow - 0141 554 9999
  23. If he's too busy try Auto Cosmique. They've got a place in Grangemouth, but I've left the business card with the phone number at home. Their glasgow branch fixed a big scratch on one of my doors. Great finish and good price.
  24. Spotted a tanker coming out of Happendon services this morning on my way past so I nipped in for £25 of fresh O. There was only 1 other car there on a forecourt that has I think 12 car pumps. But then I had to go round the wrong side of a road island before a roundabout in Alloa yesterday afternoon becaue the Queue for tescos petrol was so long..
  25. Not actually subscribed to a mag since I cancelled my PC Format subscription way back in the day. I buy Evo on the odd occasion if it takes my fancy. I quite like Banzai and Japanese Performance. Fair enough there's some lurid lexus lighted max power efforts in there, but on the whole there's usually decent cars and decent features. I was thinking of getting a subscription to Scooby Magazine. Certainly enjoyed the free one I got with a Scoobyworld order.
