Hey Peter, would be for a small-ish core cooler to fit a supercharged 1400 motorbike engine running I think about 18psi/1.25 bar. To be packaged in a Westfield type car. Everything on eBay is heavy, too big, or doesn't have the sort of pipework exits that are helpful to the packaging. How's the satay? Must get down for a taste again.

Changed my tedious diesel clio for an Ibiza SC earlier this year. Got the 1.4 twin charged engine with the 7 speed DSG. Nice little car to drive and not slow. Not 290 horses quick obviously, but I can't complain as it's fairly cheap to run.

Yeah it was lever to the floor, so more than likely the ratchet failed somehow. If you search for vauxhall handbrake you'll find loads of hits for watchdog and what not, but this car only new last year so shouldnt be affected. It's been recalled for a brake pedal problem but not the brakes themselves. My folks' driveway is on a slight slope, so he had to have put the brake on before he got out otherwise the car would have rolled straightaway.

Not been down to have a look yet to see if I can replicate it. Garage had it to test and couldn't see anything. Vauxhall themselves fobbed him off saying it should be left in gear as thats what the highway code says. Did a quick check tonight and that's pish, so they'll be getting challenged on that.

Hey kids, long time no speak! As per the topic - my brother's less than a year old Corsa got loose in the driveway and hit the garage wall. Car was parked up with handbrake on and some point after he left it and 5 hours later the handbrake failed (the lever was all the way to the floor so dodgy ratcher?) and it rolled down the incline. Arnie Clark and Vauxhall both not interested after first attempt at speaking to them but it shouldn't be an insurance job as it's been a car failure. So looking for someone to speak to! Cheers

I've got both my 4 and Nicola's 3G (my old one) covered on our HBOS Ultimate reward account. It works out at £7.50 a month fee for the account but with that you get a fair few good things - including Mobile Insurance. I was paying more than that to insure my 4, but now I we get both. For high value equipment I think it's well worth it. On topic - leave it off for a good few days and hope for the best. The iPhone has a water indicator in the headphone port which the Apple store would check if you took it in claiming it wasn't working so if you're going to blag it then best be confident.

£13.90 to go from Motherwell to Edinburgh and back on the train. Taking a weekly it works out about £11.80 a day. Going monthly or yearly is cheaper again, but when you factor in holidays and flexible working it doesn't always work out. Ignoring parking costs, and car costs that aren't fuel I'd only be £7-8 a day in diesel. So there's £4-5 a day left to cover parking, and increased servicing etc which I think is managealbe. I'm ignoring the cost of purchasing a car in this mind you - because you have it whether you were public transport using or not. So the only reason I don't commute by car is because the M8 is a shite hole. It doesn't save much, if any, money to go by public transport. Until the government make public transport clean and cost effective then people wont use it.
