  1. Subscribed yesterday seeing as I couldn't see it in the shops. Hopefully get issue 7 through soon.
  2. << Keep to the subject please >> I'll donate £5 to the Santa Cruise on Sunday purely for my disobedience.
  3. I get low 20s in mine on my regular to and from work + a wee play now and again. We're responsible for killing the world. And I like it.
  4. Just sorting out some arrangements for Sunday morning with my mate Richard that'll be in charge of my spare wheels and other supplies I may need. He tells me that last time he filled up he bought 29.5 litres and that got him 241 miles. 29.5 litres = 6.48909014 Imperial Gallons. 241 miles divided by 6.48909014 gallons = 37.14 Miles to the Gallon. That's in a MY05 WRX bought within about 3 weeks of mine and that does about the same mileage as mine, but cearly driven in an entirely different fashion. That's on REGULAR petrol too! He says in reference to driving from Kincarding to KH with us - "I hope you guys are not going to drive really fast and blast away into the horizon" - I think we better at least show him how to use a Subaru like the good people at Fuji heavy industries intended.
  5. Phil is this you behind me in this picture?
  6. I've got a list as long as my arm of various mates and colleagues who are going to try and come up on Sunday. If there's a collection for the Santa Cruise they'll all be made to weigh in, passenger laps or not.
  7. Get someone to chock one of your wheels with a big stone rather than sitting with the handbrake on because you'll knacker your brakes if you do that. Also, after a run see how close to the brakes you can get your hand without being terribly burnt. It's a fun game. Also, take it very easy on your warmup session. Don't try and follow a noble round like I did. Use your mirrors a lot too. If any of those wee radicals or ultimas are on track then they fair sneak up on you, and in the case of radical behind and Impreza then once they get too close to you you'll not be able to see them.
  8. Perhaps the technical wizardry of my car's FOUR cigarette lighter sockets can be of assistance.
  9. You should head up to the track day and make some cash on the side Andy. I bought some pictures off a photographer from the last one and they cost a pretty penny or three. But they're great shots, you can almost see the whites of my eyes in them.
  10. Actions 9-12 Gus. I spent ages spectating last time despite being one of those on track. It's great to take part and to watch.
  11. Paul was well before my time at the SIDC but he sounds like someone who lived his life in the best possible manner - doing what he loved. A real tragedy for all involved.
  12. Quick bump in case anyone missed this, and confirmation that we're good for the roadworks: "Reconstruction work on the M876 Bowtrees roundabout (the primary access route to the Kincardine Bridge) will take place during six weekends between 7.30pm Friday and 6am Monday. The next scheduled works begin on Friday 30th September. " I shall see you chaps around the 20 past 7 mark in the waste ground, or probably in the shell station knowing us petrolholics.
  13. swanie, Saturday is the 24th and Monday is the 26th. Or are we talking about the month of October, in which the Monday is actually the 24th? Probably can't attend, but would certainly like to as suspension setup intrigues me.
  14. There's a place in sighthill called CLCM that will do proper 4 wheel laser alignment + geometery for you fee. Info here. Not used them myself, but plenty of people seem to rate them.
  15. Craig, have you seen Irish Al's install? It's very nice indeed. Lovely sound off it too. Saw it back at the AWD open day. Think he did most of it himself
  16. 1. Gumball 2. RS Grant 3. Andywrx 4. st3ph3n
  17. Craig, there's a good audio faq over at scoobynet. I followed the headunit instructions for an '05 on it with tremendous success.
  18. Mmm. Detango. Wasn't sure about it before but I'm liking that. Still not sure about it on an 05, but I will consider it. Good looking list of mods you've got planned too dave.
  19. You can see the back of my head on page 77 by the looks of it. Good pictures, but I'd still not buy the mag.
  20. Take the A77/M77 obviously, then onto the M8, across the kingston bridge then take the exit for the M80 which I think is J13. Then stay on that until Junction 2 and you'll see Asda on your left. You can't miss it.
  21. Checked at the roundabout this evening and there was no signs. I asked in the shell garage when I was in for my petrol. The girl in shell said that they were supposed to be taking a 4 week break on the roadworks, but that 4 weeks has now passed, but they've not started again yet and she doesn't think they're on this week. So I will see you all about 7:20 or so at the waste ground.
  22. One of my mates used to work with SK on their website (styling/interface wasn't his choice). He used to keep me informed of all the good bargains . They hold an auction the first or last friday of the month which is usually chock full of good computers, cars, kitchen sinks, anything at all.
  23. Great set of track wheels seeing as they have the RE070s on them. A bargain for someone. My spare set of standard WRX wheels were just £250 with 10 mile old tyres. Now that was a real bargain.
  24. Any sign of me? I ain't buying it other wise.
  25. Lovely. Get them whilst they're tacky lads.
