  1. Is everyone driving extra miles in their cars after they've panic bought?
  2. It looks like it's Angry. Just the way cars like that should look.
  3. Just wait till there's a shortage of horse feed, or carrots on sticks.
  4. Bird in front of me last night put £3 odd in her Corsa. WHY????????? 99.9 for Optimax at Shell Kincardine Bridge though. I thought that price was a bit of a result, which is a sad state of affairs.
  5. Caught up in the great Auchenkillins debacle this morning - they've changed the damn road layout with a very minor change and it's UTTERLY confused everyone by the looks of it, so much so it took me an extra 35 minutes to get to work even with a shortcut. I was sitting with the R-Vit on the six fold readout watching my intake tempreatures and MY GOD is it scary. It peaked about 170f, which is about 3 times what it was once I got back up to speed. I don't know how the yanks don't blow these cars up.
  6. I didn't really mean nice car as in pretty to look at Mark. I suppose I meant faster or more expensive or just simply a car they'd like to own more than their current rep mobile/crap ned car/super mini/clapped out banger. No one can really accuse the Impreza of being a real looker. But I'm sure that's not what most of us bought them for.
  7. Good to know you can get this stuff Chris. Not looking for them just now, just compiling a wee list of post chrimbo plans. Does the din gauge set require to be hooked up to a controller too?
  8. What sort of dosh would I be looking at for triple hood + 3 gauges there + control unit + a shifter light if possible. How hard or easy is it to fit them?
  9. Are they force selling it with specific games in the Bundle? The value pack itself is just system + 32mb mem stick duo (too small) + slip case (reasonable, better ones available) + very camp white patent leather wrist strap (hello sailor) + remote (nice) + earphones (useless). The battery and charger are included in the standard pack as it is.
  10. More places - Sony Centre in Alloa (one in Stirling too?), any Toys'r'us, they big Tescos and Asdas, CA Games in the decourcy arcade off Byers Road in Glasgow, Woolworths (?), John Lewis, Argos, Index, The Big W, Makro, Costco, HMV, Virgin. Also - don't get the value pack. It's not really good value as the 32mb card wont really last long for MP3s and Music, and the price of mem stick duos has dropped dramatically since the introduction of the PSP. Do buy a good case and maybe a screen protector.
  11. I thought all Petrol stations were just a ploy to get you to buy overpriced mars bars and what not.
  12. 15/50. Tremendous. I'll be getting mine booked in for an oil change after KH I thinks. 3-4000 with a trackday is about enough I would think.
  13. My mate asked me what Oil he should get for his car to keep in his garage incase he needed it, and it struck me - I haven't a clue. So what rating is required for an unmodified new age wrx?
  14. RB's collection of cars got an airing at the rally day at castle coombe recently, and he was there himself, but not looking too good from all accounts. Damn shame really. I've got the real McRae sky+ed (and the F1 from belgium, which I was hoping was going to be the swimming from belgium) and I'll be getting it on as soon as the Sky box is free. I'm off Thursday and Friday this week. How long does it take to get to Wales? Special stage in the Millenium stadium on Friday night too.
  15. Go straight to paypal and ebay. Do not pass go. do not collect £200.
  16. Or if you're my mate who runs an '05 scoob on 95!
  17. What I need is remotely activated brake lights so I can scare the living sh*te out of them. Didn't want to do it for real as new brake pads = little play on the peddle for no braking but brake lights on. If the road had been clear ahead he would never have seen me again, but there was a lorry with 10 cars stuck behind it. When we hit a roundabout I took the wrong lane and paired myself with a slow discovery that I knew I'd get in front of and head the way I wanted. The mondeo guy looked like a total psycho ned so I wasn't sticking around to see what his game was.
  18. Yes! It seems I'm not the only one that has missed these. It seems if you safely overtake someone then they are encouraged to then drive well outwith the limits of their car to catch you and when they get behind you as you're travelling safely behind slower traffic then they should drive within 6 inches of your bumper then pretend as if they're overtaking you despite there being 10 cars in the queue and loads of corners on the road. But seriously. It was a guy (looked like an old ned) driving a newish Mondeo, with his family in the car - wife and 3 kids, and he decided to drive like a complete w***er. I went past a Fiesta and him in the one move with LOOOOOAAAAADSSSS of room given to them. He was only doing 40 on a good national speed limit road. Not a car coming in the other direction. Are people that jealous of nice cars, or are they just afraid their manhood has been brought into question?
  19. C'mon, they sell "Vin Diesel" - how can it not be real?
  20. I was out in the car there just now and concentrated on the steering and where the car was pulling and I'll retract my previous statements. On a flat road it is now going straight with the steering wheel in a straight line. I think my car was pulling right before I got it done and, combined with a lot of right to left road camber on a number of roads I use to get to work, I was thinking the car was now pulling left. Might be worth giving it a day or so to get a real feel for it Frank, or let a mate drive it without telling them whats wrong to see if they spot it too.
  21. Hypertech organised for it to be done at Progrip in Bonnybridge whilst I was getting the suspension mods done. I haven't taken it back yet, and don't think I will, unless anyone else would like to contridict the person who told me they do pull a wee bit left.
  22. Frank, I thought mine either pulled very slightly left too (at low-medium speed), or the steering wheel is offset by a degree or two clockwise. All after getting the prodrive settings last Friday. Someone told me that this was fairly normal with a properly setup car as they naturally pull slightly left. HOWEVER, as I've said to many many many people - the car now feels immeasurably better. 2 weeks ago I could have told you how fast I was going on the motorway based on how skittish and twitchy the car felt, now I can be at 125 on my empty private test motorway without even thinking I've got anywhere near the ton because the car just feels so planted. The turn in and handling round corners is also much better, but that's also to do with the droplinks.
  23. Cal, bring the other half along to KH and she can see the Carbon wing on mine. She'll be so impressed she'll get you one for christmas.
  24. OPEC are the real barstewards. As far as I am aware fuel tax is largely based on X pence per litre, and not x% of the cost of oil. So the tax on fuel hasn't really increased recently, but the fuel base cost itself has increased I do agree with protests and blockades being largely useless. All they'll achieve is disgruntled punters and a crippled country. Although I'd maybe get to work from home or get a company diesel for the week. Which might be nice.
