About 5cooby

  1. I'll have 03.00am 15mins should be enough for an MOT at that time lol. 24hr MOT's I see a gap in the market lol
  2. Ahh cheers mate I guess I'll be able to live one more day without my scooby
  3. I'm impatient and dying to get my scooby back on the road my car needs an mot which I can book for today easy! The problem is it needs a windscreen to pass auto glass say it takes 2 hrs and the only appointment is 4pm. Anyone know anywhere who do mots at around 6pm in or near glasgow or will I just have to try be patient and wait till tomorrow
  4. Cheers guys! I was gonna mask the chrome ring round the xenons but I'm really glad I never. It was really easy I followed a guide on nasioc The hardest part was getting the lights on and off the car it's a real pain if I was to do it again I'd take the front bumper off. I shoved them in the oven for 10-15 mins they separated easy enough. If anyone needs any tips give me a shout. Thanks for the advice on the exhausts too there's so many different options out there it's difficult to decide I want a nice deep burble but not too loud as I sometimes need to leave for work at 4am and I don't wanna piss off my neighbours lol
  5. Well like most I got fed up having a standard scooby very quickly so I've done a couple of mods to my wagon 1st off it was and still is too quiet. So the resonator box in the air intake had to come off not much different but it's a start. I've been quoted £505 for a cat back and 2nd cat delete H&S exhaust is that a good price and what is it likely to sound like? whilst I was getting a quote for the exhaust I bought myself a cosworth filter again not as much noise difference as I was expecting, although, I reckon it seems to pull a wee touch better. Now for the big finale (for this week) I did this...
  6. Yep I have the modding bug, I so want a rally replica, Baz wanna swap?? Sitting right behind a MEGA loud white beast with black stripes for about 10 seconds till it vanished didn't help matters and then even when you couldn't see it you still heard it . I couldn't have a car that loud my neighbours would torch it lol
  7. Does anyone know if the hawk wagon has the same exhaust system as the saloon? Where would the best place in or near glasgow to buy/get it fitted? whats the best system to go for? and how much roughy will it cost? cheers Eddie
  8. aye that was me mate and cheers. baz the run tonight was great and thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome. look forward to more runs.
  9. Hi All I'm Eddie I've been registered on here for a few years now. At the time I had a Corsa and I kept dreaming of owning a Scooby, in 2007 I bought my first scoob it was a 97 Legacy, I loved that car but then I moved and my commute was massive so the gas guzzler had to go but after a Volvo V40, a ST170, an Rx-8 and a Mondeo Ghia TDCI here I am in another Scooby this time it's an Impreza!! It's a 56 plate Hawkeye Wrx Wagon with 44k on the clock, and oh I love that car!! was up at KH on sunday seen a few of the guys spoke to a guy who had a Blobeye wagon with white wheels(very nice) and have decided to show face on here again. all the cars on the stands at knockhill were awesome. So if anyones selling any mods for a hawkeye give me a shout
  10. hi all I have been an almost silent member (since i don't have an Impreza yet) but I have the next best thing a Legacy. Although a little late my girlfriend and I turned up with our own little tribute. We have all lost a friend, and a hero. Gone are the 2 people who made Subaru and gave it an iconic image, McRae and Burns RIP Colin, Johnny and their friends
  11. didn't know that, thanks for the advice, an early WRX engine it is then lol. If possible I'm going to try get a write-off so I can have the diffs, box, etc, make the job a little easier. I'm aiming to do it for as little cash as possible lol just so noone can say I'd have been cheaper buying a WRX. I think its gonna be tricky but not impossible.
  12. hi all some of you may remember me from about a year back when i had a very sorry looking blue corsa and couldn't wait to get my hands on a scoob. well... i now have a 96 Legacy 2.2 GX wagon, yeah unfortunately its not a Impreza but looking at the steering wheel and seeing SUBARU makes me feel like Colin McRae. my first mod was a 4.5 inch stainless backbox it now has the legendary burble. In the next few months i'll be doing an engine swap from what i've read an Impreza STI V1 or V2 engine will slip in fairly easily (backup car ready incase it takes a little longer than expected lol)
  13. unbelievable this is really shocking news, just goes to show though life really is too short
