aye the polo-shirt-embroidery company have quite a big backlog but they're working flat out and slowly catching up you'll need to keep watching out for the postie for a wee bit longer. we are getting around 10-20 orders a day through the shop (shirts and stickers) and are constantly chasing our tail. dinnae worry, we'll get through them eventually

like the wheels, needs mud flaps i think had to lol when you said that a standard repair-of-windscreen led to all this other stuff getting done

Simon, dont be a fool its a difficult job and most folk dont understand the time and effort it takes in organising events for everyone to enjoy. chances are, the folk you cant please/are moaning are just that... all talk and no action. I've realised that its the same names and faces that are actively getting involved in the club and there are very few folk willing to step up, take the initiative and actually do stuff for the benefit of others i'm not wanting an argument or to open up a can of worms... this is just my opinion, I'm speaking from experience

Jools, stickers are not sold out, we've just ran out of stock.... em rather quickly lol! more stickers have been ordered and we'll be resuming the dispatch of stickers at the end of next week. Place your order in the shop, we'll get them out to you eventually re joining the convoy, hopefully the ROs will start up their own local convoys to get you into Lanark in plenty time on the Saturday morning. I'm hoping for a frenzy of activity at the start of August with mini-convoys being organised and things will start happening for us to come together and make this happen

Mcrae Gathering - Accom For Sunday 31 Aug?
micra_wrc replied to micra_wrc's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Carlisle is a fair distance from Warwick... i'm only thinking about how fit-for-driving I'll be on Sunday evening, cos we'll have had a long drive on the saturday, drinks that night then a busy day outdoors on the Sunday where I'll be on my feet most of the day [running around doing organiser-type stuff] god how girly do I sound lol -
just wondering how many of us are: - planning to do the whole weekend for the McRae Gathering - got the Monday off work - would like to break up the return journey and stop over somewhere on the Sunday night? thinking of booking somewhere at Stoke on Trent, as its nice and handy for the M6 and sort of halfway home. I'll definately need somewhere to rest after the buzz and highs of the weekend

All The Proof I Need To Stick With A Classic
micra_wrc replied to johnnyr6's topic in Scottish Scoobies
i thought that you were going to say that the proof needed to stick with a classic is the £180 we pay for 12 months road tax (compared to the £250+ that newer impreza owners are charged) -

WRC website Yahoo Sport Newspress Autosport so the word is definately out there. oh and if "This maybe need to be given annual status" means doing this every year.... there's no chance in h3ll we're doing this again, we'll be knackered after this one this is a one off event

Anyone going to this years Festival of Speed this weekend? Things that caught my attention from their website... A special tribute to rallying giant Colin McRae will feature at the event, including a paddock full of the machines that made him famous, such as his Subaru Impreza and Ford Focus WRC, along with lesser-known vehicles that he drove, including the Le Mans Ferrari 550 Maranello GTS and Jordan-Peugeot 196 F1 car. and Current WRC teams will join more than 40 historic rally cars on the enhanced Goodwood Forest Rally Stage. Expect to see plenty of gravel-spitting sideways action from current WRC heroes such as Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson in the new hatchback Subaru Impreza WRC Note that "Festival entry is by advance ticket only, with a limited number of tickets still being available"

not wanting to cause embarrassment but had to LOL at: "... Please DO NOT, as someone did, order multiple shirts in different sizes expecting a refund on the ones that do not fit. Shirts are embroidered to order for you personally and we will NOT entertain that as a reason for a refund. We're not Marks & Spencer.... "
