glad to see things have calmed down. if you're up and about on Sat morning come over to Lanark market to say hello, there may be one or two scoobies there! McRae Gathering
-
thanks Gus. you could probably guess from my daft "what if no one turns up" thread that i'd had a meltdown... actually I have had mini meltdowns every other day for the last 3 weeks and its only now that I can rest and slightly relax its just scary when you read through that participants document exactly what we've had to cover and I was really feeling the strain. but I'm satisfied that we've done everything we can to pull off a tremendous weekend and give folks something to talk about for a while and yes I will flip if I have to stuff another envelope or if I get any more "can you get me a sticker" questions
-
oh aye...... remember you having a "wee nosy" about perhaps maybe possibly changing your exhaust and you're now modding and wanting to get on the rollers....... uh huh...
-
CLICKY for the full lowdown of whats happening at the Gathering
-
have you lot seen the participants guide that we've written?
-
there is a lot more information available about the McRae Gathering event than what Craigy's posted we figured it was the best way to say things once and give you all a thorough breakdown of whats going on, the amount of repetitive questions we get asked is shocking! and gets very tiresome Clicky here and download the information pack, for all you need to know about this record breaking event
-
remember to bring cash/credit card for: - bidding on our auction, - buying raffle tickets, - buying McRae Sport merchandise, - buying your very own professional photo with L555BAT + N1WRC + Rothmans Legacy - donating a couple of quid for the passenger laps around the Warwick test track
-
now that the info document is published the next thing on our 'to do' list is marshalling. the team will be sorting this out this tomorrow and, if you're still up for helping us, I suspect Andy will be in touch later in the week. can't believe how quickly time has gone, we've only a week to go!
-
have ye impatient fellas received your stickers yet? backlog has cleared and I've posted all sticker orders that have been paid for, 1st class royal mail.
-
yeah it does seem kinda daft now that I read that back lol oh well, I'm fine now
-
hmm are there any stickers on the other panels of the car... the rear windscreen looks a bit crowded

New Favourite Road! But A Bitter Sweet Day.
micra_wrc replied to ScoobySounds's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Glad you're out and enjoying the scoob again. but where do you get "250 quids of fuel" from?! you've never driven off boost at 60mph have you?? its going to be 3 full tanks tops, possibly even less. the mods can wait, the Gathering is a once-off event. plus with all the attention its got and the stuff we've got planned you'll be even more gutted when you see the pictures and writeups post-event - its going to be a huuuuge weekend we're going to be breaking records babe. -
aw shucks thanks everyone guess i've been so focussed with dealing with all the various stuff that needs to be organised/planned/bought/discussed/agreed that this is the first time I've actually stopped and looked up to see where I'm at. this event has completely taken over my free time, social time and even work time, and its turned into one of those things that you obsess about, fall asleep thinking about stuff and even worse, waking up still thinking about it. the last 3 months have been frantic, but after making up and posting 200 sticker orders over the last couple of days, i can now pause and chill... well for one night anyway
-
had a moment of panic when I realised the McRae Gathering is next Saturday........ OMG what if no one turns up after we've spent soo much time and effort organising this man that will suck [daft I know but its one of the neurotic things I think about]
-
hey that wee justy is quite nice first time I've seen a pic of the new model
-
haha loving this comment we need more headstrong female drivers in the club that know what they want from their scoob and not afraid to challenge the guys on the other hand there is a lot of experience in here and we just dont want to see people make the same mistakes as others have made and btw Welsho really has broken every bit of his car lol

-
Andy, I've got Frency's bottle of port here. dont worry, it will remain untouched.... its not my drink lol nice to see everyone last night and thank you all for buying raffle tickets.... £500 worth is a stonking amount Nanaki's face was a peach when I told him he had to write his name on the 40 tickets he was buying and I won one of the 5L Milllers Oils - was well surprised when I read my own name on the ticket that was pulled out the bucket
-
that's really cute good representation too. i'm going to digress as well and say omg, cant believe your wee girl is crawling
-

micra_wrc replied to granby's topic in South East England
lol you almost got it right we're auctioning a passenger ride in the gobstopper for the Sunday convoy from Banbury and Warwick The gobstopper is the 2nd car in the convoy, 1st car is Colin's N1 WRC, and will be right up front of a 1,000+ convoy of subarus CLICK for more info on the prize and how to place your bid -
just picked this thread to say that there is the chance to sit in the Gobstopper for the convoy from Banbury to Warwick on Sun 31st Second in the convoy, right behind Colin’s 1996 car – N1 WRC, you will be right up front of a very impressive sight – 1000 plus Subaru’s tailed out behind you as far as you can see – and beyond. we're holding an auction, get your bids in - all money will go towards the charity. Email " enquiriesATmcrae-gathering.co.uk" with your name, phone number and the amount of your bid if you fancy being a passenger in the Gobstopper. Clicky for current bid

Please arrive at Banbury on Sun morning FOR TEN O CLOCK you will be directed to a parking area by marshals. we have a plan for getting everyone parked up quickly as there will be a lot of cars arriving at the same time. sorry but you wont be able to choose to "park close to where everyone will gather" and with 1,000 cars converging at the same point, you better prepare yourself for some "traffic"
