  9. har! he didnt seem that concerned that I couldnt get through to Perth in time on the Fri i heard all about it for the past 2 days... and he even held up the tv interviews and the media as the celebs were signing the stuff on their way 'to' the interviews to be fair he really was prepared to camp outside the hotel he thought they would all be staying at to get their signatures on our gear so I'm really chuffed that the autograph session happened in such a civilised way!
  10. ahh is that what the woman in the fancy car was wrinkling her nose at!
  11. so that would be me in the inside lane then... about 01:00 into the clip you can see me flash the lights and also spot the aerial from my CB on the roof - thats how I knew it was me clicky for YouTube vid
  12. mowahahaha evil laugh
  13. sounded shady. Just as well you were more informed about the car than the seller, imagine bringing 2 'mates' along, mibbe thats how its done in the W Mids
  14. Only STi RAs (and Type Rs) have DCCD [talking about classics here] hmm does that mean that it will be newly registered in the UK and therefore falls into the higher band for road tax?
  15. Cal, its not a STi RA, its a STi 555 Ltd tell tale signs that its not a RA are: - the aerial is on rear panel (it will be on the roof if its a RA) - colour coded wing mirrors and side skirts ('standard' STi RAs didnt have these) edit - duh I mean RAs dont have colour coded mirrors, not that they dont have mirrors lol - its got a rear wash wipe ('standard' STi RAs didnt have these) - its got electric mirrors ('standard' STi RAs didnt have these) it could be that the current owner is confused and/or has been told that he's got a RA. other than that, the interior pics look like its hardly been used (red stitching on the steering wheel and the gear knob seems intact) and the mileage is v. low for a car of that age Its even got the standard alloys and twin pea shooter exhaust i'd suggest to go and view it, have a nosy at it, listen to it idling and perhaps take it for test drive? ideal car for your track-toy and you can probably haggle the guy down for mis-advertising it as a RA price is good too, if its undamaged/not been ragged also, have a lookie at this thread on the Type RA forum for exactly the same thing
  16. I'd like to nominate Andy Dram300 he's raised a little over £500 from family and friends to go towards the McRae Vision charity and his missus's work have agreed to match that So well done Andy and Joan, you are both stars 1. The McRae Gathering Team - Grant, Imy and Andy 2. Imy - For the highland Runs. 3. JohnS - organsiing the sidc track days 4. Wilky - for the Richard Burns Relay 5. Dram300 (Andy and Joan) for raising £1,000 for McRae Vision
  17. did anyone manage to get any more of the auction on film? I didnt catch any of the other 3 auctions as I was busy processing the sale of the items. I'm hoping that someone still had some battery power/memory space in their camcorders and had the patience to film it, even tho it was pee'ing with rain...
  18. lol gimme a break, i'm still getting used to the fact that you've sold yer Fozzy...
  19. i've got a question...... how can this thread already be 2 pages long ONE HOUR after starting it thought I'd missed something.... not got to your wheels yet, still absorbing the fact that your RA has skirts and a splitter
  20. I'll be up for that......... if someone else organises it
  21. Looking good Shaun and I even spot a DHL parcel sitting next to your bookcase lol good to see you are settling into your flat. re views of the scottish countryside, there are photos kicking about from the Gathering and you could probably 'borrow' one or two of images that show the convoy weaving its way through the Clyde Valley to print out and put over your window
  22. one year ago today Colin was taken away from us. Hopefully the turnout for the McRae Gathering 2 weeks ago brought a smile to his face and showed that we will always be thinking of him. RIP Colin, Johnny, Ben and Graeme links to other threads in case some of you havent seen them.. emergency meet, day after the accident Thoughts and Memories
  23. aye much nicer with the black wheel nuts
  24. aye looks now it was really good to see the Type R at the Gathering hopefully we'll see a lot of more of it (and Playsatan!) out and about now
  25. I guess it will be ok to keep them on, seeing as the event is one of celebration rather than mourning. and love the pic of Big Gordon with the wee Vivio - I think you'll struggle to get into that car big chap
