About stubaroo

  1. Don't know what all the fuss is about, I filled up the the tank today with V Power.
  2. Chris, I had the same problem after having my spoiler fitted, only came to light after a sustained period of wet weather. Probable cause, as you suspect, a leak somewhere from your spoiler, like one of the nuts/bolts or the wires that feed the brake light on the spoiler. HOW TO IDENTIFY OFFENDING NUT/BOLT HOW TO CURE PROBLEM Or as I did, remove the nut from inside of boot lid, slip on large rubber washer, pop nut back on and tighten. Then cover with clear outdoor all weather sealant. Also taped up the wires that come from the inside of boot lid for the light on the spoiler and then applied the sealant to that area too. Now, no more leaks. And this little leak does lead to a little swimming pool under the spare tyre if left unchecked.
  3. I have been in to have a chat with Paul recently and he certainly knows his stuff. His facility is spotless and he has all the equipment to carry out a proffesional detail to the highest standard. He can tailor a detail to your budget or specific requirements. He has given me a most competitive quote for a detail on my car and I will be arranging to get the work carried out just shortly. Top man. Hopefully the bloody roads will clear up a bit over the next few weeks as they are an absolute disgrace right now! Don't know what that crap was that the council was dumping when they ran out of rock salt during the heavy snow.
  4. Nice one, you found my old thread. Thats what I had to do to fit them and all is still fine, no issues. They are great horns by the way.
  5. The car looks fantastic. Didn't even realise there was this kind of service in Markinch, had a wee look at the website and its the real deal. I must drop in sometime for a quote as I am not too far away.
  6. Nice car by the way, very clean, a few shots from the front would be good.
  7. Well you's had better go and get yourselves another one. Pssst, make it a newage this time........
  8. Congratulations. 9lbs a big boy indeed!
  9. Looking good, excellent choice of wheel. The flaps look good to, pink decals n all.
  10. I have the Tein Sport springs on my 05 WRX and it is very much a daily driver/family car. I have three young children and there are no issues with the ride being too stiff, bumpy or uncomfortable. I had always planned for Prodrive springs, but Duncan from Hypertech (they supplied and fitted the springs, Whiteline ARB's, ALK and droplinks, also fast road geometry set-up) advised me to go for the Teins over the Prodrive springs. He is the expert, not I. The car now has fantastic handling capabilities but is still reasonably comfortable to drive. Here's a pic to show you the ride height........
  11. Congratulations to you both. He looks like a wee smasher!
  12. They look crackin' Jon. Well done mate. I will wait and see what the fleeces look like before ordering.
