unknown. we're saying allow 28 days for delivery. the company making and dispatching the shirts are swamped and are making steady progress in getting the shirts out to folk. but no gaurantee you'll get it by the 20th. You should have ordered them earlier

Colin Mcrae Gathering, Sunday 31st August 2008
micra_wrc replied to granby's topic in South East England
its just "kid" - Colin left behind his daughter Holly - and I doubt that Mrs McRae will be going. Seeing how many people her husband touched/influenced during his rallying career might be a bit difficult for her. Also, she liked staying in the background during the years so again, I doubt that Alison will be going. -
sorry to hear about your car Al sounds like its an unfortunate accident but good news that its getting repaired and good idea about joining the AA/RAC for the McRae shindig next month
-
good pics i see black wheels are in fashion up north

ah John i do like reading your 'help me fix this' threads "calamity john, scottish scoobies' resident guinae pig for servicing and repairs" you could pull together all your threads and create a "idiots guide to modding your own scooby yourself" picture manual lol pleased you got the pads fitted, respect to you for learning and doing it yourself I wouldnt have the patience or the inclination to do it. whats next on your to-do list?
-
2nd that. I used them at start of month to get 4 new tyres and once you get your head around the strangeness of ordering online, it works well and very easy. order and pay online, pick fitting garage and appointment time, they deliver your tyres to garage within a week, garage fits, balances and even disposes of your old ones. send me a goat with your email address and I can refer you... I can get points for referrals

well i already started to dislike the review from the start when he made a typical clarkson-comment about how rare and far between a female rally spectator is -
so do the indicators still flash yellow?

Sexual Chocolate ! Snake Bellied 2008 Sti

I like it was lucky enough to get up close to a real WRC one at Prodrive at the start of the month and loved it even more. such a difference seeing it in the flesh. although they are smaller they have more of a presence about them. though this may have something to do with the mods that Prodrive have done rather than how it looks out the factory lol -
Colin Mcrae Gathering, Sunday 31st August 2008
micra_wrc replied to granby's topic in South East England
you Kent boys would be better coming through to Banbury for the Saturday evening. there may be one or two of us there having a few beers plus, it eliminates the need for such an early start for Sunday, we dont need you at Prodrive Banbury until 10am... tho there may be problems with finding somewhere to stay, the local Travel lodges/Premier Inns/campsite have been fully booked by us scots since January -
Yes we have thought of this. there will be 2 motorway sections over the weekend the 1st stretch happens on Sunday when the convoy will be travelling approx 15 miles along the M40, from Banbury to Warwick. This is where the heaviest volume of subarus will be. the Highways Agency, local councils and relevant police forces are aware of this and give us their approval and backing. the fact that it takes place on a Sunday afternoon should also minimise the number of the public on the road at the same time as us. the 2nd stretch of motorway section will be the day before, on Saturday, when we do the Lanark to Banbury leg. This is where we'll be on the motorway the longest. Thats probably where your concerns about blocking the motorway come from. 60mph is a legal and reasonable speed and should not cause any tailbacks. 60mph is faster than the HGVs but slow enough to let other people pass without any bother. We are not going to be hogging all 3 lanes of the motorway. We will be using the inside lane, travelling one behind the other. obviously we will be driving sensibly and should not be antagonising anyone on the road . The point of the event is to commerate Colin's achievement and is our Subaru tribute to him. It is not a race or a cruise. that's why the limit of 60 mph on motorway stretches has been set. It will also help the fuel economy of our thirsty cars, those that are doing the full 2 days will be travelling quite a distance and we want to make the very expensive petrol last as long as we can I dont see a problem here

he's tired of black and wants to spray it blue

oh thats not good. what an irresponsible driver. hope he gets charged. hope your family are ok and dont suffer any injuries/whiplash. give them our love and best wishes xxx -
you know i'm liking the orange wheels they definately change the look of the car. also spotted the cheeky wee Andy Forrest Performance sticker on the wing but how come the pics are all from the driver side? bet ye didnae change the wheels over on the passenger side and the gold ones are still on it
-
looking good Al, like the fog lamp covers. Q - do the side wing reflectors do anything? i mean arent they meant to flash when you indicate? and lol at the deer decals, fingers crossed they stay at 2
-
well its a bit kooky and unusual but soo very you John. tbh the car looked a bit bare last i saw it at the Gla meet. think the orange wheels will grow on me, take a pic of them on the car to see what the overall effect would look like. one things for sure - the car will stand out when you fling it round KH - bet the SICC will be snap-happy at the track day
-
has anyone bought today's Herald yet?
