About westtra

  1. Well i can confirm lithium grease works. Will see how long for though.
  2. just bought a can today, going to go for the jack up and spray option before its new shocks/grease nipple option.
  3. Thats a bugger that there no covered. Any idea why not as all 4 got replaced under warranty on my last hawk no questions asked and that was approved used as well. Going by the above it looks like I will have to go down this route as fell out with the local garage about warrant work today and to hell if they are getting my business or stick in replacement shocks or go the whole hog and get a set of coil overs fitted. Anyone have any suggestions on replacement shocks/coil overs?
  4. Have the dreaded rear strut knocking issue. Have 2 issues with warrenty. One the garage is charging for the diagnostics and 2 the warrenty company need the struts out before they will authorise the work. Has anyone had this before with regards too the warrenty? On my last hawk when the struts went no charge at all was made to me and also on previous marques when i have had warrenty work done.
  5. http://www.scouk.net/subaru-impreza/technical-docs/Sigma_M30_Manual.pdf shows how to do it.
  6. Thats what it looks like and thankfully the garage are sending me discs to change out as it too far too travel for them too do.
  7. I would say your spot on. Good spot. Will hace too look when i get home. Didn't look 3'' but when lying on road nosing i didn't have a tape measure out.
  8. Cool will double check when I have them off the next time.
  9. Had the pads out and greased the back of the pads etc last night. Callipers looked ok with pisons moving ok when I pushed them back e.g. didn't need a shifter on my piston spreader to get them open. What do you suggest needs checked? Inside pads were worn slightly more that outside pads on both wheels.
  10. Well thats the atmos DV off. I now don't cringe every time I change gear on load. Dave have had a msg on cumbria scoobies and the only mods are the ones I know about. All I need to do know are fit the new brake discs once Stan Palmer sends them to me as I have a hell of a lot of vibration under even light braking and a fair bit of steering wheel wobble under hard braking.
  11. I said it already the day fan I wiz down but yer takin the weight reduction a bit seriously on the car. Ye nae think it wid be easier tae loose a few pound on yer sel first
  12. Got it from stan palmer. So any help would be good. Was a fair trek.
  13. Only short term plan was an exhaust and since thats done none bar get rid of atmos DV. I plan on keeping it so will prob end up doing suspension and few power mods but that won't be for a while. I need to register on cumbria scoobies and see if I can get a bit of info from the old owner and see if anything else has been done too her as either the dealer didn't have a clue about the mods or didn't say.
  14. Is similar resonator design but the tail pipe is cut at an angle on mine. closest I have found is miltek but box design for hanging points is different. I thought it was a standard STi box from the pics of the car the garage sent. Never tried before I bought and the garage never informed me that it had a cat back exhaust fitted. Not complaining as it's not to loud but sounds good. Just need to get rid of the atmos DV(also never informed about) and I will be happy.
  15. Well i'm back in a scoob again. Regretted selling the last one but hey ho. Quick pick off my phone http://t.co/11bnpEb7UE Quick question does anyone know what exhaust this is? http://t.co/K2Yj8NHRXI
