  1. You sure it was my car, no one has ever said it looks nice, although i was on the M80/M8 Jct at that time I like you, want some Cherry Pie? Must send my Subaru sensing machine back to Japan for some fine tuning as i never spotted you boss
  2. Judging by the huge grin across his face, he enjoyed every penny of his recent purchases
  3. Yeah the M74 has all kinds of weird characters hammering up and down. I am the one in the Yellow Sprinter, usually trying to ogle down ladies tops or laughing at the Repmobiles locking up as they spot the scamera van above the Mway Welcome to our club and enjoy your stay
  4. Cherry Pie anyone Great day out. Good blast up the back roads to the hill on my own, apart from nearly being taken out by a Tipper on the racing line, and the cobwebs have now well and truly been blown off the car. Great banter both at the track and afterwards at the place where the beautiful gurls work and sell Cherry pie with the loverly puppies. Spec C was stunning in the flesh and round the track, just a shame Guernsey is so far away but with attractive road tax policy and SVA policy, i may well see if DHL Guernsey have any vacencies
  5. Now thats just wrong
  6. Its a real pity Dunkin Donuts closed down. I used to love fighting through the Jakies and Neds in Central Station at near midnight just to get the cinnimon/custard one
  7. Snow chance Although i prefer to do donuts on Bowling Greens as it is less stress on the CV's and Gearbox
  8. Milllers depot is in Hillington Ind Est. Flatter the old burd behind the counter for a discount
  9. On a serious note, just shows the abuse these things can take as std. Some seriously aggressive downshifting going on by the Gan-San. Oh now doubt i will be squirting Squirrel cheese all over the new arrivel. Give the occupents of little Beijing across the road something to email home about
  10. Probably about the 1.2 mark Relibility and mid range punch would be the best gains after remap
  11. Flog her the Arabs, they like a blonde child bit of a novelty item for them Old fart on the ring in your next car
  12. Made you look Andy..... Jimser, you really need to break the bank for one of these Hubba Bubba Couple of extra shifts for the youngster down the tin mine should help oir at least sell her kidney on ebay to some fat American teenager
  13. The final boost figure will depend on a number of things Fuel pump...std or not Fuel Pressure Regulator....std or not Intercooler ..... std or not Boost Control ...... std or not. Induction..........std or not Exhaust....std or not Condition of internals and compression Version 1+2 run 0.9 peak Version 3 is about 1.1 - 1.2 depends on ambient temp With the right basic bits you should be able to pull about 1.4bar out of it but the VF23 turbo might throw a wobbler so maybe about 1.2 1.3
  14. I have driven the legend, i know it is more then just a car. A device for removing your spleen through your poohole in under one second is a more apt description
  15. Praise the lord, sweet mother of jesus and the best news i have heard in a long time Bags a seat in pax side for when she goes out and about God bless the mayor and the legend that is the Millenium Falcon
  16. I think Mr Tradesman's car is a Version 3 and thus cannot be ScoobyECUed or chipped by any means. Options are limited to replacement ECU like PowerFC/GEMS/Autronic etc or a Piggyback unit like the Apexi S-AFC or dastek Unichip PowerFC can be obtained for about 650 fitted and mapped or 480 if fitted and mapped by me........kidding Version 3 is rather aggresively mapped from the factory so i would hold off on the Decat until a few monitoring devices are btained and fitted. First would be a Knocklink to make sure all is well inside the engine and second would be an AFR device to make sure she is not running lean. After you fit these and the results are favourable then i would go for a decat. Even after fitting decat i would keep an eye on the monitoring equipment to make sure she is running within acceptable tolerances after the Cat has been removed.
  17. They pictures look like the next gen of WRC Impreza. Hopefully the STI takes some styling cues from that cause me likey
  18. Playing rFactor At the moment a Version 4/5 Cooler will suffice but if you plan larger turbo then front mount will be the answer
  19. What's a mod??? 1 - 2 - 3 - Not done any and never will 1 - 2 - 3 - Done a couple but more in the pipeline 1 - IainC 2 -Double Zero 3 -Ac!D 4- MrBadger 5. G.Mac (going st see Mr Squirrel eating his liver before christmas when I get 400BHP out of my standard VF35) Going mod crazy at the mo, I can't help myself and the wife is going to kill me 1 - TheWelsho 2 - 3 - I'm nearly finished, only tweaks from this point on 1 - Playsatan2 2 - Frank C 3 - All done, this is just how I want it 1 -Squirrel 2 - 3 -
  20. Sweet result Thats a lot of torque mate. Need to be careful in the wet until you get used to the new profile of the turbo
  21. Well...................... I am sure the Big Man in the sky will look out for the wee blue WRX
  22. Some engines come out easy enough, some put a battle the Black Watch would be proud of. Depends how stuck on the dowels between the gearbox and block it has become over the past couple of years of being spanked about the place
  23. Way too many to explain why a thicker oil is more suited to these engines than the manufacturers recommended grade. Please trust me on this one 10w/40 is way better than 5w/30 and if he used the thicker grade then maybe it wont need a top up when checked
  24. Engine out and split the crankcase Nearly spat my tea all over the screen when i read 5w/30, good chance thats the cause of the big ends going bye bye After the rebuild 15w/50 or 10w/60 Fully Synthetic and change every 3000 - 6000 miles depending on usage
  25. Yes it is possible for it to die at 57k Rebuild will cost anything between 1000 pounds and 2500 pounds depending on who you go to and how many corners they will cut.
