I will be in the Yellow van See you up there about whenever o'clock
-
Spotted a recent trend of a Traffic unit sitting at the next slip road after the scamera, esp on the M74 North and Southbound around Abington. Since my van is now governed to a indicated 75mph i join the 74 at Moffat and sit with my foot flat on floor all the way home, nearly. I love it when just before i get to Abington and some tosser in a Beemer, Audi, Toureg comes screaming past then slams on the anchors, nearly losing and sometimes actually fishtailing it cause the van sits on a bridge just after the bend in the road...............Priceless I do average of 70000 - 80000 miles a year through work (in another 17 months i will have covered 1000000 miles in a business capcity) and agree with WRXMANIA, never had the need for a detector, i just use my eyes and drive accordingly.

Is there seriously going to be a "Ignore user" feature? Excellent work by all concerned, looking forward to the unveiling of SIDC 2.0

Please enlighten us as to what you actually did around here. I have a cup of tea ready and a smoke in the ashtray awaiting your reply So we should bow down before you and praise you for past glories, while we bow before your greatness, could you turn water into Buckfast and part the Clyde between Helensburgh and Greenock. Why not come along to a local meet Dougster, get to know some of the new breed of Forum members. Wether or not anyone would actually talk to you is another matter but the invite is there none the less

Already a member of that one but i prefer www.everyonedoesit.com, much more informative and good prices tooooooo Another one for you www.fullofyourownselfimportance.com click on the annoying ex-social worker link for some topless action Back on topic Ally, You gong to the commercial venture known as the other SIDC tonight, have a suggestion for a run along under the Erskine Bridge or maybe Doon the Watter towards the tail o the bank then over the old Largs Rd for some closed roads WRC action round the loch. Maybe we hire a transporter to take the cars to Mallory Park in Leicestershire for a private testing session, the guy that owns the shop at the end of the road says his Uncle bought it for "a couple of donkeys and a pencil sharpener" and it would be cool for us to head down anytime.

Compression check next to make sure she is still gas tight in the cylinders. You say the guage is showing less of a reading, this suggests an air leak somewhere in the manifold area. Find that and fix that first off, maybe a leaky hose or pipe could even be a split in the cooler. With a rebuild been done so recently i would go to the garage that done the rebuild for a check over, they would/should do the compression check Check all the earths going from engine to baulkhead and make sure the connectors on the ignition amplifier are clean (located behind the boost control solenoid on the inner wing drivers side) Check all the connections around the injectors Reset the ECU by either doing the Green plug thing or disconnecting the battery over night. ECU may be stuck on the old mistimed settings from when the timing belt was out, now the belt is correctly timed it may be struggling with the base timing and hence running like a burst fart

Help Required Please on setting fuel pressure on regulator
the squiggle replied to peter_reid's topic in Scottish Scoobies
2.2bar was with vac pipe connected, so 2.7bar disconnected. Originally Pete contacted me be cause the car would not pull any boost at all and would eat a full tank in about 100 miles. Upon checking the fuel pressure it was found to be at something silly after a FSE reg had been fitted and not set with a guage. Car was subsequently rolling roaded and the operator pointed out the car was badly over fuelling. I would source a Phase 1 manifold and fit that in the short term, then the ECU will fuel the car as expected. Match the injectors and manifold to the ECU and it ill make it easier to diagnose the fault -

You still on the std ECU? I was thinking you had 440's in there as per Phase 1.5 manifold and not as big as 550's I am thinking the jump from 550s to the 380s that the ECU will be looking for is too much Best bet while on the std ecu is fit some 380's (cheap from any breakers) and let the ECU control injectors of a size it is capable of insteaad of getting it to flow 2 sizes bigger than the ECU is expecting AlanG, Pete runs an early WRX that is fitted with a Phase 1.5 engine while still on the early 4 port ECU -
