  1. Wilky, i would be honoured for you to ride shotgun with me
  2. Could not agree more Amen to that brother.
  3. I had a delivery for Colin today, can safely say it was the worst delivery i have ever had to do in my life especially as it was Alison that answered the door, past couple of days the Police have been signing for packages and taking them up but today we were being let through. The Royal Mail man, Alison and myself all just broke down, she said that she was grateful just to see a familer face. The Police said that they should be away in the next day or two as they understand how hard it must be for Alison seeing everyone milling about trying to figure out what happened to her Soin and Husband. When the cordon is lifted i will move all the flowers up to just outside the gate of the estate.
  4. L555BAT is still currently owned and stored by the McRae household. My dream car if i ever became a billionaire, i would never drive it i would just stare at it for hours
  5. Very nice job indeed boss. I knew you would come up with something special and that truly is special
  6. S***YGX If i remember rightly or are you tallking about the dug.......
  7. Not exactly of Colin but these were the pics i took the last i delivered up to Jerviswood This is Colins Golden Retriever and according to the tag around his neck, he goes by the name of "Dug McRae".
  8. Scotland has lost one of its favourite sons but god has gained one hell of a chauffeur RIP Colin and wee Johnny Gavin
  9. My concern was indeed unfounded. Watching the BBC news they showed Jimmy reading our tributes and i jsut started crying like a 2 yo, a thing i have been doing quite often today. After our chat today i met the lady but i think Jackie Stewart was a better choice than myself.
  10. Some lads from down south are heading up on Sat to pay thier respects Just doing the same thing as Sun but i dont think there will be many.
  11. All very special pictures indeed Ally, you were one of the last people to see Colin drive a WRC spec Impreza
  12. Excellent article and superb pics
  13. Hands across the water friend Must log into NASIOC and thank them for thier kind words for our fellow countryman It is truly amazing to see how far and wide this guy's bravery reached when you read the tributes left on his website
  14. First off a massive heartfelt thank you to every single one of who turned up today. 23 cars at only 12 hrs notice is a statement of ho much this guy affected each of us. The std of driving was impecable and we were a credit to our marque........................THANK YOU. The contingency plan was put into place where we parked the cars in the new housing estate and walked round the corner, we were so quiet not one resident bothered because i dont think they evn heard us. Of all the people present with University degree's and the such like they wanted a word with me. I humbly apologise to the viewers of BBC News 24 that may have heard a small sweary word that ryhmes with bucking. Never really done live TV before and if i knew i was gonna be live i would have at least removed combed my hair and minded my F's and C's. I also apoligise to the wider Subaru community for being the lead car on TV, i know the car is as ugly as sin but i knew where we were going and i did not expect there to be camera's there. I know you must have been both cringing and beaming with pride at the same time and if i had known it was going to be on national tele then i would have borrowed Imy's V-Limited. Plans are hatching for a similer RBRelay style convoy between Lanark and Banbury with a stop in Keilder and possibly the racecourse where he collected the trophy in 95 Thank you God bless you Colin
  15. Dougie, for me and for more importantly the genius which started this whole Scottish Subaru phenomenan please come along and i will get you into a Scoob i promise Please mate
  16. No fear Portugal 98
  17. The single track road up to Colins house is about half a mile long with an area large enough for a good few cars to park about 1/8th of a mile away. We can park the cars there and walk up. The trip from the Market to his house will be done at under 2000rpm. The policemen we spoke to earlier said that were expecting the area to be a bit busier tomorrow hen confirmation is released officially
  18. Couple of options for you Head for the Lanark market in your own car and hitch aride from there in a Scoob or post up your location and hope someone local can swing by to collect you. Option A has the greatest chance of success in my opinion, hope to see you tomorrow
  19. That postcode is for the market I will lead the cars from the Market to his house, or as close as we can get without hassling anyone, in a very sombre manner
  20. Thank you and your sentiment is appreciatted. I will phone you when i leave Paisley
  21. It sure is where the Motorshow was, i thought this would be a good meeting place as easily accessible and a well kent landmark of Lanark. Easy enough to get to his house from there without going through the town.
  22. Sorry for starting another thread but i reckoned tagging this invite onto page 3 of the other thread may not have reached the desired amount of people to get the desired effect in such a short time frame. Do not really care if it just Nanaki and me that appear, would not be the first time that has happened. It would be rather special if we did this in return for what the guy gave us over the years. Thanks
  23. Location of Lanark Market
  24. A few of us are heading to Lanark tomorrow to leave a simple tribute to a great man from everyone of us on here Please if this genius meant a fraction to you of what he meant to me then please make the effort to appear tomorrow We have, in the short time, come up with a simple Subaru SWRT T-Shirt tied together with a Saltire. Nanaki and myself will be at Lanark market on the south of the town at approx 1300. We will leave the Market at 1330 and head up to his house to leave a tribute at his gate. 07944079591 is my number so please call me tomorrow if you can make it along Hard for me to write this as it should never have happened to such a great man RIP mate
