Oh , and it has APS cold-air kit , full TSL gpN exhaust , Andy-F TD04 hybrid turbo , STI5 intercooler , STI carbon strut-brace , alloy drop-links and other mods I've probably forgotten. \My MY2000 UK turbo sometimes does the same (smoking at idle then a bit when pulling away which then clears) doesn't appear to use any oil. I'm not sure if mine is oil smoke or rich mixture , I'm thinking it could maybe be faulty MAF of maybe dirty airfilter(APS CAI + K&N) I'm interested to know the cause but I'm working away and not had time to check it over so I'm watching this thread for ideas My turbo is Andy-F TD-04 hybrid - any idea how much for Andy to refurb it if it is the seals ?
