I think it started life as a WRX Limited and has had some STI upgrades along the way
-
Had a run in a DCI Lee's latest incarnation of his STI UK Blobeye. Steak and chips in my stomach has now been rearranged into something completely different Now Antilag normally resides ion the forest stages and by gum does it sond impressive echoing through the forests but when you here it echoing through the tenements of Paisley it sounds 20 times louder. Pretty sure the Armed Response Vehicle is crawling about Pasley after recieving numerous reports of Heavy Machine Gun fire in various parts of the town. It not only scared the bejesus out of the various drunken bums slumped on the corners of this fine town but i pooped my pants when it first went off Oh yeah and 2.1bar peak is not a bad starting point for a base map. Respect mate, The Chinese 500 is well and truly here Looking forward to meeting the Chinese 600 ya mad trout

The wee bolty things that connect your oil supply pipe to the core of your turbo. The two different types of turbo have two different types of wee bolty things wi a hole and if you use the wrong one then the turbo disnae like it and it causes to mich drag on the main shaft which in turn can delay the spoolin of the turbo thingy Hope this explains what i am on about or is it still clear as mud
-
Need to make sure you get the correct banjo bolts for the IHI VF34. The wrong banjo bolt can delay spool quite significantly. The TD04 is made by Mitsubishi and the VF34 is made by IHI.

Keep it man after taking it to such perfect power levels The 270 will feel slow after your current steed If you have to do it then get more for the car privately as a Dealer would not care one jot what has been done to it Is it still running like a bag of poo?
-
Concur with this, some of the turbos soming out of Japan are not what they seem. Do your research and ask the right questions about cooling pipes and oil pipes and compatibilty with your current TD04 or whatever hairdryer that is currently residing there the noo, think it is a TD04 Seen a few Front Entry TD05 units that are fake as fake can be. The have old recon cores that are only oil fed and should be only used on old style diesel engines. These units can be identified by the lack of Water feeds and returns

That turbo on a 2.5 will go really really well with the proper breathing. The VF34 on a 2.5 will make that figure depending on Andys final map which will be based on how you want the car to drive. Maybe look at upgrading the top mount as well and intake pipes to make sure she sooks as well as she possibly can.

Need to find out if the Fozzy has a cat in the Uppipe, if so then decat that as well Try and source a CAI for the it as well, this will give really good results on the VF34 after mapping Maybe a Fuel Pressure Regultor as well to add a wee bit of safety if the Duty Cycle goes to high on std pressure Result after this lot should be one fast Fozzy

Gay 5 series now i believe of the Turbo Diesel kind

All time low Billy, thought you were maybe a bit more mature than that

Only being an active forum user, or does this place discriminate between member and forum user because sometimes the forum users do more for the greater good than the full bells and whistles members do, i feel that sometimes being proactive gets things done instead of sitting back and just thinking of maybe doing something. Regarding the runs, a lot of thinking, planning and financial cots go into setting up the runs and this year the Gla area had 6 different runs on different roads so your accusation of "no fun in driving the same roads again and again is there?" goes right up the swany. This is the first month we have had a sit down inside kind of meet and the topic at the top of agenda was this years Santa Cruise. It was advertised in the Events section under Glasgow meet Oct and inside the thread the contents stated that the topic on the agenda was Santa Cruise. Regarding my membership, now that hodit and doddit have left our forum i have been meaning to renew my membership and since i only found out last Thurs that i could renew online, so maybe i will renew Thats is a bit harsh The decision was taken over FIVE different events in the last month, The Glasgow meet, the Service of Rememberence at Lanark, the emergency meet at Lanark, Imy's October run and the McRae Stages at Perth. Ample oppertunity for anyone interested in Santa Cruise to have put their thoughts across and the outcome was a democratic decision and not out of ****ing order. At these 5, yes 5, different events the overwhelming opinion was that Jerviswood was the way to go this year and hence the reason the donation sheets were made up and distributed. So you are completely wrong when you assume that " no one had asked the members opinion? ", my psychic abilities left me when i was 2 years old and never returned. For this i apologise but as for not asking anyones opinion, that is just krap and you owe me an apology. If you dont appear at meets or events how are we meant to know what you opinion is regarding matters that seem frightfully important to you. If you cant attend these events there is a thing called the Interweb that lets you leave crucial messages on a thing called a BBS, a program that holds the info for others to view and reply if they feel they have an opinion on similer matters. It is not just Imy and me that thinks the sun shines out of McRae's ring, as you so solemnly put it, but 136 owners that attended the convoy from Happendon to Lanark also thinks the sun shines out of his hole, as you so disrespectfully put it, and he had the ability to turn water into buckie. Maybe Colin meant a wee bit more to me than some of the people on here. Maybe thats down to Colin being a customer of mine whom i met on a couple of occasions or maybe it is down to sitting with a numb ar$e on a freezing cold stage and soaked to the skin just to catch a glimpse of Colin going past in Max Attack, sadly a sight i will never see again now that he is no longer with us. So when that bloody helicopter hit the ground a wee bit inside me died also, people say hey life goes on but sadly for the 4 occupants of that helicopter life does not go on To give you idea of how much Colin meant to me, couple of days after his cremation the Peter Kaye-a-like in my work told me that he had a joke for me. He only got to " I played Colin McRae Rally on the " and i interupted him to state that if this a joke was about Colin then the fat Peter Kaye-a-like would be going to hospital very quickly. He never finished his joke as the look in my eyes stated i was serious and i was willing to throw my job, cause i probably would have got sacked on the spot, away on a point of principal. Braveheart, C.H.A.S and Make-a-wish are the 3 beneficiaries of the Jerviswood Trust, 3 childrens charities that we have a chance to make a difference to this Christmas. Just my opinion but hey i attended all five events, six if include the Abz charity night for which some of you should be ashamed as i offered to run everyone up to Abz in a minibus but only 2 others from the central belt traveled. Yours disgruntingly Grant

If we were at the same running total as we were last year then i would have went 50/50. We are not anywhere near the same position as last year or previous years financially to give both parties a decent amount. 50% of F*** all is still F*** all and if it was 50% of 8 grand plus then yeah no problem, shedload of money to Jerviswood and loads of presents for the kids, everyones a winner. In my opinion 100% to Jerviswood not only honours a Colins families request but it also benefits the kids My vote goes to Jerviswood 100% and to prove my point i have set up a standing order to the account. So no matter what the club decides i will be giving 600 quid a year to Jerviswood Maybe if i had a child in Yorkhill i would maybe have swayed towards Yorkhill but i have no kids, this is not being derogatory towards the sick kids at the various hospitals . I have however lost my own personal Jim Baxter, Jimmy Johnstone, Ayrton Senna, Jim Clark and i feel deep within that i want to pay the guy back for years of pride for what the Plumbers son fae Lanark gave me personally. I also attend the memorial we left every day to keep it tidy as Autumn is now here and leaves need sweeping. I do not have to do this but something deep inside me is driving me on to do as much as possible to make sure he is never forgotten and that his chosen charities continue to benefit from his great name. The names of Colin McRae and Subaru will forever be synonamous with each other. Now through the most tragic of circumstances the partnership will never be reunited in anger on the WRC. So in my head the two will forever be linked and i want to make sure the two will remained linked after his passing. Just my opinion and i will go along with what the masses decide

What he says Carl, the early cars, 1995 do come with DCCD as std. The RA's built after V2 are overweight kind of RA's, the real ones that you could cage up and batter down a stage Colin stylee were the original Phase 1 cars with their sought after Closed Deck Block. The manic short gearing gives 125mph ish at 7500rpm in fifth and the lightest std Impreza produced gave it the ideal starting point for Grp N rallying. From Version 3 onwards the were over geared, over weight and over rated and not really worthy of the term RA
-
Your sort of correct Colin but your answer is for the V6 V-Ltd For the V2 STI RA V-Limited the main differences between a std STI RA and V-Limited are Sports Blue colour (same shade as the Scottish Saltire), Autographed embroidered seats bearing the names of Colin McRae and Derek Ringer and Commemerative FIA badge on the boot with numbered plaque out of 555. Depending on the original buyer of the car in Japan will determine wether the car has Quickrack steering, Electric Windows, Aircon, Electric Ariel and Uprated suspension parts like the Pink lateral arms. The V-Ltd was the first car Subaru sold out of before production began as the "Limited" (STI 555, WRX Limited and STI RA V-Limited) range of cars were built to celebrate the WRC title win in 1995. Within 48hrs of the STI RA V-Limited being announced all 555 cars had been sold. So the spec of each car vary wildly as the car was specced to the customers wishes. They could either choose the "Comfort Pack", which consisted of Air-Con, Central Locking and Electric windows, or the could choose the "Sports pack", which consisted of Uprated suspension parts and Quickrack steering or they could just pick certain options from either list. If you want a closer look at a genuine early V-Limited then speak to Imy (micra_wrc) on here as hers is a nice example.

Superb start to the series Hamster has taken hair styling tips from Capt Slow Best driving roads are here in Scotland but the Stelvio and the Col do look like fun. Jeremy still cant drive a car properly, nice wee dig from the Hamster when the Stigness managed to keep the Golf pointing in the right direction. Loved the digs at Fifth Gear, Vicki getting for burning the cool wall down and the rest for copying the van roll 10 part series, oooohhhh yyyyeeeeessssshhhhhhh as i am looking forward to the return of the amphibious cars and meeting Stigs African cousin

How about de-badging the camera shy car? Wee VF34 and decat on that would go really well.......
