  1. This very thing was on the news tongiht. The price of a barrell has came down by 25% from its peak a month or so ago. It is now at the same price per barrell as it was in June, but the price of petrol is higher than it was at the same time. More bad news however: The smaller OPEC nations who produce smaller amounts of oil are wanting the price to go back up and they may get their way. if that is so, then more misery at the pumps. Sick of this $hit I really am. Seems like any excuse whatsoever to push the price up. What did the smaller OPEC nations do when oil was $70 a barrell? Send in the Bush-Boys to take off them!!!!
  2. Same for me too, but a cool car nonetheless and welcome to the club, enjoy!
  3. If you find one, please let me know!
  4. I know that feeling, sorry for you mate. Did that to my brand new 2-week old Celica in 04. Hope you get it sorted soon and yes, let that be a lesson to you for trying to get rid!
  5. I thought the O2 sensor was in the downpipe. What sensor is on the downpipe then?
  6. Saltire - BIG nono! Black and blue, doesn't look good IMO. Id go for a black sunstrip with white or light-grey lettering/logos for your car. As for graphics on the body, go for grey a few tones darker thant he car for that really subtle look.
  7. Oh right I see, coz I wasn't there... oh well... my loss.
  8. Brilliant! Pity you are never there ehne I'm on track
  9. Eh? I'm missing something here, obviously!
  10. Some nice pics - some of Col's are superb.
  11. Not as close as it looks mate. Its only because of the lateral forces being exerted on the tyre, causing it to flex under the wheel giving it the impression that its almost hitting the ground. I think what is more of a concern is the fact that he's overcooked it and ended up in the kitty litter. Could have been a lot worse than what it was.
  12. Good to see you back mate, you've been away too long. BTW, do you know that your Website is no longer active? All the best!
  13. £1250... na, dunno anything about the said turbo
  14. Cheers Chris. I was thinking though, even if I fitted the turbo without all those other bits, I could still get the car mapped to run a little more than the 340 at present, then when funds allow, I can add the other parts as and when I have the cash and gradually turn the wick up on the map. I'll need to see if someone is selling an MD321T for a bargain though
  15. Yeah I third it, but that is running to a 4k+ bill... I suppose I could up the power and not use the car on track until I have the gearbox sorted out but who knows when that will ever be.
  16. Level 4 400-420 bhp Full Decat turbo back 3” bore exhaust system Tubular exhaust headers and flow matched uppipe Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump EcuTek custom remap Custom Cold air induction 650cc Injectors AFP 321T custom turbocharger with fitting kit NGK uprated spark plugs I know of the need to remap the car with the OE headers removed, but I have no intention of adding replacements on their own. I was thinking about a new turbo unit and what gains I would get from such a turbo and as can be seen from the above (level 4). headers would be required along with a host of other things. It was just that I didn't know what headers were, which I still don't, not really, hence the reason for the post initially. I'm going to stab a guess at it and say that headers are the pipes connecting the engine block to the uppipe through which. exhaust gasses flow. In other words, the first point of exit for exhaust gasses.
  17. Yeah, but I can achieve Level 4 with everything in place for the price of a gear box...
  18. Oh! Booooooring! I want FAST, FASTER FASTEST!!!!!!!!
  19. You just made that up! I was thinking about a level 4/5 performance upgrade and among the bits and bobs needed there's the 321T, headers, 650 injectors, oil cooler and CAI - plus of course the remap, so I wouldn't be going down that route without the map.
  20. Cheers mate. About fitting, what's involved? Ramps and under the car?
  21. What does that mean and why are they/it required on cars with 400+ bhp?
