  1. Excellent! That's a tad more BHP than me (2 or 3) and about 20 torquey things less - enjoy it mate, its a whole new car!
  2. Bear in mind that coilovers are not impregnable, they can go wrong too and the cost of replacing those will be considerably more than a strut. Of course, they are more robust but the initial outlay is over £800 supplied and fitted and that's for the standard ones.
  3. Well, not me! BilllyBoy has but doens't have the capabilities to post pics himself... Here it is:
  4. Coilovers are a bit harsh for everyday road use and unless your are going to do some track work, best avoided. Lowering springs will do a good job of making the car look aggressive and will go a long way to improving the handling.
  5. Its smaller and quieter and your happy about that... how?
  6. I didn't realise that Rubens Barrichello was there...
  7. Only if the MY06 model is a WRX and NOT and STi.
  8. A nice classic, I must say. And some of the low-level distillery shots are cool. There was some lout popping up now and again sticking his fingers up in an effort to ruin the shoot, glad you didn't let him put you off...
  9. I knew that L555 BAT was McCrae;s plate, but I didn't know that it stood for British American Tobaco.
  10. Yeah well, don't think for a minute that sleeze Cameron would make it any easier. Oh! An I am in NO WAY a fan of any government, as far as I am concerned, they all suck.
  11. I asked Hypertech to fit front and rear ARBs and Duncan persuaded me to give the front one a miss for exaclty the reasons you mentioned. Becasue the car is much stiffer, it will not absorb the shock from uneven roads and will cause the car to skitter rather than grip. Everyone knows (apart from Neil ) that you always start from the rear in a Scoobie when doing the suspension, hence the reason for the stiffer bar on the rear (24mm). I'd suggest taking the front off (youwil need to have the standard one though) and trying the handling out on your mate's private road again and see how it feels, that way you will be better placed to make a decision. As for brake pads - absolute skoosh! Which must be true if I'm saying it! Good luck and let us know how you go.
  12. What would be even better (I think) is if you do the stripes in yellow with the SUBARU letters cut out all together so that the lines appear to form the letters.
  13. Chris, you can buy Photoshop Elements for about 60 or £70 which will allow you to do all that stuff. In some cases it actully comes free with things like scanners, digital cameras and printers. So if your inthe market for one of those, keep your eye on the bundles
  14. Well at this rate, I think I'll be taking mine OFF! Seems like the naked naked look is the new graphics!
  15. I like that a lot (not the ones with the stripes going all the way round, those look hideous!). Try shopping some race stripes on instead of around hte bottom and see who that looks. I think your car would look awesome withe yellow racing stripes.
  16. The perfromance pads generally need a bit more heat in them to get them working 100% but this is hardly noticeable. Yes, the Ferodo pads are harder on the disks than the standard pads, but unless you are going nuts with them, you'd hardly notice the difference. I have used the DS2500 on track and on road with standard 4-pots, with no issues. On my first track day in the wet when things are cooler, I heat damaged the standard pads, but the DS2500s lasted me for ages with several track days. I am currently using Performance Friction fronts in my Brembos, and again, no issues. I'd probably recommend performance pads if you were going to enjoy some spirited driving on occaision.
