  1. Yeah, but still...
  2. Minted. Almost did this to my car when I had it.
  3. Enjoyment of a non-Subaru, in terms of driving, is just not possible with a regular car. There are other benefits though; cheaper running costs, but that's about it, at least IMHO. Bought a 59 plate Civic Type S GT as a replacement for the Scooby and I haven't put a sponge near it in three months. There is litter in it, the back seats are always down cause my golf gear is in and out. Plus the boot is covered in grass and crap. I couldn't care less about it, I might as well buy a cheap runaround. Driving will never be the same again. I'm contemplating a CR-V diesel, AWD. Miss the Scooby
  4. Looks nice either way mate
  5. Not brilliant and not exactly what you asked for...
  6. LOL! Who the hell did that???
  7. The best of both worlds Billy; sounds like a wise move.
  8. Aye, he's a good lad that Craig fella
  9. I need to learn to play golf like a girl!
  10. Feel gutted for you mate. You were always a friendly and encouraging spirit in the club as well as extremely helpful. I have moved on from Scoobies, but the car and many of the folks will remain in my heart for a long time to come, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be gutted. I hope it all turns around for you and your health improves. I dunno that there is any thing I have that could help you, but you know where i am if you can. Keep the heid up, God bless ya.
  11. What can I say! the first time I seen this was on your post. When you asked to identify the SIDC member, there was really only one option! Ha! Sorry Bobby, but its a ringer for ya!
  12. That's the sort of reckless abandon that caused me to spend/lose fortunes on my car; I LIKE it! lol!
  13. I wouldn't do a straight swap for that. My car was a newer Hawkeye with way more mods and more power and it went for a fair bit under the price he's asking. Love the look of your car, its a stunner.
  14. LOL @ Tommy, thanks mate! No Billy, no regrets at all, it was time to move on. Driving a fast car is the dream of all little boys but I was never afforded the opportunity to do such until much later in life. Thanks to the Scooby community, I have had a riot. The best thing about the car was defo Knockhill; there is no better way to enjoy the pleasures that a modded Scooby can bring (or any Scoob for that matter). The entire experience was a very memorable one
  15. Cheers Craig. It wasn't a member, It was some guy from Leeds who bought it via PH. I dropped it off yesterday JW
  16. Extended warranties: a license to print money IMO, wouldn't touch such with a barge-pole, especially anything to do with Subaru. Anyway, I have a set of Tein Superstreet coilovers two of which need servicing. If you can get them sorted for less than the cost of a new set up, you can have them for nothing. The condition they are in might be better than your shocks anyway. But definitely DO NOT replace them with stock. I can't believe they sell them for £350 each! That's a scandal!
  17. Yeah... it's not just a car really, is it? Thanks Dunk; I'll b sticking around though
  18. Ah well, the Scoobie finally sold today. Had a "life flashed before me" moment as I handed it over, recalling all the great times and great people I have met over the last three or four years. Thanks for the ride guys, it was awesome.
  19. Lovely car... I'm now starting to miss mine, dammit!
  20. Yup, same here. Tried about everything; car isn't shifting, I'm stuck with it. I'm slowly beginning to regret ever getting involved with it.
  21. Yup, very slick
  22. Trying to play golf and having no success!
