  1. classic design never ages
  2. np m8, your typography is better anyway
  3. If the calendars are printed on a Litho press then it's not so easy to do extra after you have printed the initial batch and not that cheap as you have to set up the machine for the job again further down the line, but printing them digitally would make a big difference to that aspect and they could even be printed to order or in batches of 10,20, 50 etc.
  4. I spoke to Phil about this idea briefly as I started up a wee side project called carclubcalendars.com as I have done the FTOOC one for 6 years now. My company are a magazine publishers but we also own a printing firm now so I did a deal with my boss and get good rates. The calendars are proper wire-o bound ones and always go down well with the FTO OC guys (we send them as part of their membership fee - we print 2000 of them). Most have even said they would happily buy a calendar of this quality and we ended up printing more the last few years to sell (one for work and one for home lol!) FTO OC have a competition and the committee choose a selection of pics which then end up in the calendar, we also put a best of the rest on the back cover too We print calendars for Wiseman's and Ethicon and the like. Here is the most recent FTOOC one I did. http://pmacfto.smugmug.com/gallery/6504327...413227346_fAYH5 I'd be happy to speak to anyone wanting to do this as we have some great photographers on the forum. btw - we also did a calendar for Cancer Research which was some of the girlfriends on the guys in the club, posing with FTOs which was sold and indeed sold out! I said we should do a general one with some great showcars from some of our development companies like Norris Dev. and Graham Goode etc.
  5. Just saw a black GTR in the garage in Livingston - bet it spends plenty time in there - guy with 2 young kids was in it. I was not sure if it was Andy but now I see his is Silver.
  6. Copied from another forum but it's how I feel too - no way would RB do something as crude: "I'm suprised this hasn't turned up on snopes as fake yet. The Rindercella routine was actually written by Archie Campbell and although I'm fairly certain that Ronnie Barker did do Rindercella I'm certain it was nothing like this. All of the changes from Campbells original serve only to make it more vulgar and that simply wasn't Barkers style. If Ronnie Barker did rework Campbells routine the changes would have been far more witty than to simply add more swearing and vulgarity. Although I wouldn't be suprised if he added something like knucking fackered I'd be very suprised if he added "dandy ronkeys who had buge hollocks and dig bicks", this simply lacks the subtlety that elevated Barker to genius. Don't get me wrong, this edited version of Archie Campbells routine is amusing (although I'm not sure it is more amusing than the original) but I do not think attributing this to Ronnie Barker does justice to the memory of a comic genius." Nuff said http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJv_YXIXBsE
  7. I had just spoken to Steve 20 mins ago and sent Mark a PM too
  8. My son and daughter were sitting watching that on the web constantly this morning - we have been getting all the Cars Toons ones on the torrents as they come out Cars is such a great film! I don't mind them watching it over and over - it's Lady and the Tramp and Lion King my daughter watches and is obsessed by that does my head in! (Sam is 3 and Grace is 4! lol)
  9. Craig is a good shout (only heard good things about him ) but Steve Whitson did mine as Craig's schedule did not fit when I needed mine done. Steve is up near Hillend which may be nearer for you too?
  10. very nice but that sounds LOUD and would they not kick you off the track for doing that at KH?
  11. Could the club contact the police to find out if they know of a certain area they are operating in - seems to be the Scoobs are being targeted fairly regularly just now. Forewarned is forearmed as they say! My mate fits hard disk recording units in the shops he fits out for a large chain of Cheque Cashing shops and he put together a very good system for a good price himself as the quotes from security companies were too high (they have over 100 shops just now!) The system records decent quality - for identifying people - and then can send the data to a server (or your PC) and can be viewed across the web in real time too. Think I need to have a word with him!
  12. Sorted now Thx people
  13. Hey all. my MOT is due and my usual garage can't help me with my CAT issue - has anyone got a CAT I could borrow for a Newage WRX (2003) and also is there anywhere I can get the MOT locally (West Lothian). Also - which cat is it you need on for emissions testing? Both mine are deleted iirc (bought it like that!) Ta in advance
  14. You can actually check on the Shell website - stick in an area or town and it will tell you where you can get V-Power. btw - my car is mapped for V-Power but can I use the Tesco/BP 99 RON? Or is any 99 RON ok - i.e Jet stations etc?
  15. I'd guess that it's Private Land and so does not have any legal obligation in relation to that aspect of the car park - Health and Safety issues would be more likely to be picked up on....you could write a letter at least and see what they come back with - make sure there are no signs saying they take no responsibility for cars parked there either.
  16. I had a guy on a big motorbike right on my ar$e on the M8 on Sunday and I had my 2 kids in the back and was really not happy...he, of course, proceeded to go past me and tailgate everyone in the outside lane even tho we were all doing 60-70 in the 50 section of the motorway. That's madness on a bike - so much for telling us car drivers to watch out for bikes...what about a general campaign to just watch out for tw@ts, be it on bike or car!
  17. I am popping thru to Glesgae to get my iPhone replaced at the Apple store - I tend to avoid multistory car parks as the car is fairly low and I'd hate to be stuck on one of those ramps lol - anywhere I can park round the centre. What restrictions apply on Sundays? Taking the 2 kids too (4 and 3yrs) so don't want to be too far from it!. Ta!
  18. Waaaaay overprocessed - but that impresses people so a lot of guys do it. Nice enough shots but the HDR is overdone to the extent it's not nice! It's poster material but would not go far on a pro photography site...will check his site and Flickr tho - benefit of the doubt an all that
  19. my m8 and I are looking for a few other cars to do another night shoot. if interested email HIM (not me!) studio(.at.)ianmonkphotography.co.uk Details of your car and colour would be great too. Just leave details of your name and forum name along with which forum you are on too as I also will be posting on Scoobynet and possibly the FTOOC. Also if you know anyone with a cool 70's motor we are hoping to do a shoot of one of them too - anything from an E-Type (ok that's 60's) to a Mustang or Trans Am etc...
  20. Pagani Zonda I have, dunno what a Pagini is tho I'm not selling it tho, my son loves pushing it around the kitchen floor too much...
  21. did u go from one OS to another? i.e XP to Vista? Depends what options you chose. need more info as your old stuff may still be there - if you logged in as a different name a new folder would be created for that user so desktop would be empty etc - but you would still have some of your programs in the Start menu - if that's all gone then you have done a fresh install. Need more info to help you tho
  22. I had a similar hole in my window a few years back and the crack eventually worked it's way to the top of the windscreen and I was terrified it would come in till the AutoGlass guy told me the windows have multiple layers and can't just collapse in on you.
  23. pm'ing now m8
  24. similar but the trials one is much thicker
  25. the guy who did my night shoot pics - see general gallery - is looking for another car - your one is pretty special - I'm sure he'd do it justice Here is the link to the pic on his site. http://imonk.smugmug.com/photos/485532358_duAuN-XL.jpg
