About JohnSt

  1. The Custom cages offering is the same for the 2dr and the 4dr in the respect that all the important tubes are the same. The 4dr kit has a couple of extra wee plates to strengthen the B piller that the 2dr doesn't have. If you think a weld in cage is gonna be 100% accurate and just drop in without a little/lot of fettling, you are dreaming ---john---
  2. Jim Dickson is the boy !!!! Mega helpful/friendly family concern ---john---
  3. Glasgow, Kenneth Brown Motor Engineers, Hillington. Aberdeen, Mark Hutcheson, Banchory. Edinburgh, they can't drive so not necessary
  4. Thanks to Andy and the AWD guys for the assistance during the day, I appreciate it !!!
  5. LOL at Machers and website, you'll be lucky !!! If you are not entered in the championship you will have to call Roger and ask for one. ---john---
  6. Hi, good news is the rumours are false and the engine didn't blow, in fact it saw through two out laps due to traffic, then two flying laps (all be it, compromised by power due to measures taken to aid it's survival) then it got me back to the pits (never a good feeling walking back though it had gone a bit lame by this time ) Three things saved it, the strength/quality of the Lateral bits, Chy's build/block (if it had been an EJ257 it would be shrappnel right now) and some very clever use of the Solaris ECUs facilities by Andy.F We new ahead of the final what was going to happen out there and Andy, remapped it to suit. Thank you Mr F I'll say this for the build and the parts in it, they are fecking strong To be subjected to what they were put through and to still be in one piece is something else ---john---
  7. Andy Napier from AWD is also entered. ---john---
  8. Ask your Engine builder Ya Nugget
  9. S'funny, last time I looked there was a visor in there ---john---
  10. All events can be entered on an ad-hoc basis. In the central belt you will get an entry, some of the venues surrounding Aberdeen you may struggle.
  11. Another long day in the garage today, thanks again to KennyS and Arch Kenny finneshed off the brakes with the exception of shimming the AP calipers. Most of the fuel lines are now done. More importantly the engine is now in A few wee modifications around for the keen eye, though Colin has probably already done them Carl's excellent Alternator bracket and Phase 1 - 2 Manifold adaptors
  12. Well done Jac and Dom, looks like an excellent day. Jac, what are the shades about ? Think you are taking this 'Racing God' thing too far ---john---
  13. I'll pass the message onto its owner
