  1. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=121654&hl= I posted in case anyone was planning to buy anything - just so they'd know there would effectively be no company to hold the warranty up!
  2. I'm sure we can introduce you to some nice roads at the next few meets
  3. I think it works well but then I am biased as I love B&W on cars. As the pics of my old car will attest to! Will look great when you get all the other carbon parts - just ignore the "Taxi!" comments people give you. I didn't know what people were on about until I went to JAE and saw the taxi's in a few cities on the way down....seems to be a Leeds thing as well! I did used to have a CF bonnet but sold it put on the metal one again then sold that and got another CF one! lol It's an expensive hobby
  4. http://www.finalgear.com/ has all the TG and 5th Gear episodes for d/l
  5. I posted that the day after the gathering and it was taken by one of the head honchos at Prodrive.
  6. I have an STI8 spoiler in the garage from pretty much just after I got the car and still never got it fitted It's even the right colour! It looked to me like you need to drill extra holes - did you do that? I assume you had the very low level spoiler originally?
  7. The money shot! I have this in really hi-res and you can see the cars in good detail
  8. Found some nice pics on Flickr http://flickr.com/photos/dtcphotographic/s...57607062467797/
  9. WTTC m8 Stand out car!
  10. WTTC m8 Hope to see you along to a meet soon Nice Skyline
  11. Kye used to strip all the aftermarket stuff off the cars and tried to sell them more standard - his place was full of Apexi gear and all sorts of electronics from the Jap cars - my m8 used to do all the respray/touch up work for him. Have to say his prices were high but he would knock 1k off instantly or more depending on the car - the stories I heard were the cars were very good and after sales was pretty good - he always fixed things b4 a sale if you asked etc...his manner was at times off-hand to say the least but he had been in the business a long time...
  12. I imagine it is a sub-section of the Road Traffic Act from 1988 and it says a certain volume is allowed for a car which is an import. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/Acts/acts1988/ukpga_19880052_en_4 Section 42 relates to 41 which is where the relevant part is
  13. /signed
  14. and part 2 lol Great effort by all involved
  15. Ah good...see how easy these things get blown out of proportion! Sory about that - it was described as a crash in another thread.
  16. Anyone know anything about the 3 scoobies involved in a crash? Be a shame if it was bad behavior because I drove down from Edinburgh in convoy to Lanark and it was great fun - arriving at Lanark was a lump in throat moment when we saw all the cars - would have loved to go down but my 2yr old was wanting to see all the cars and then we were heading back home....I know if I had gone myself I would have ended up calling the wife and saying see you tomorrow! lol
  17. My boss went down to see them today as we are in magazine publishing too...shame they went under but it's a really tight market atm. I have a copy of the total impreza/evo and nissan mags in the office and I think altho they look great, too much money was spent on their production (IMHO) the stock is pretty heavy for a magazine and the covers were pretty thick too - I know people on this site worked on it and I don't want to criticise anyones work - just from a professional magazine production point of view I wondered how long it could last (going by the volume of ads against likely cost of production) One of the sales women from there started with us a few weeks back too. It's very hard times for publishing...hence my Scoob probably going soon
  18. WTTC m8 I also have a blue blobeye WRX, made slightly more distinctive by the white wheels - gies a wave if you see me
  19. Steve Walker for me too!
  20. lol...that would be different!!
  21. Either way would look good tbh but if you are going to get them done anyway go for a new colour whilst you are at it The anthracite does look nice on lighter coloured cars
  22. cheers guys - I think the newage ECU has to be reset - can't just take the battery off like the "olden days" when cars were easier lol
  23. I got my replacement Lambda sensor in the post today and was getting a mechanic m8 to do it but he's let me down - I know it just screws in one end and plugs in to the grey plug just at the drivers side of the car and I did do a few sensors on my previous FTOs so I think I'll try this one too! The question is - do I do it from underneath the car, removing the plastic undertray I assume, or can it be done from above if you remove a few things? The bracket on it had snapped and the cable was swinging loose but the place I got the replacement one (2nd hand subaru genuine part) from also has the bracket included Will I need to give the nut a spray with WD40 in the morning before I try to remove it in the afternoon? Also - will the CEL light go off after a few starts and drives (i.e. self diagnostic) when I fit a working sensor or does it need cleared? TIA for any help - I have Hypertech on standby to fit it on Saturday if I get stuck tho! These things are never as simple as I think they will be!
  24. Do you want a DV for performance or just to make a pshht noise?
  25. Hmm...fair enough you don't want JW's opinion but you've steamed in a bit heavy there - most people agree (and they ARE Hypertech customers too as am I and Welsho) that you do not need a Walbro pump at standard or even a bit higher power. I have one but running 300bhp and most people said I didn't need it untill I was pushing 350bhp. I'd hardly say that you were being pestered by "silly comments". There are a lot of very experienced knowledgeable people on here and if you don't agree with their opinion that's cool but maybe just phrase it a bit differently? Nobody was judging your influence - just suggesting you MAY not need the pump. There are a lot of people who get Scoobys who may not know a lot about them and this is the kind of place people offer advice - we don't know your background or your level of knowledge about the cars - people are just trying to be helpful.
