  1. aww...dunno if I should go now - Al will see his old car with a broken front splitter Wouldn't want to upset you m8! Altho - I do want to see how your new motor goes - I love the look of it.
  2. The uni car park is pretty decent size - we meet there when I go on runs with Type R Scotland guys. Not sure how 1pm on a Sunday will be in Springkerse tho! lol Pretty busy I reckon.
  3. whoops - I went back to the 1st page to find out where the final location was going to be lol

  5. Saw that post a few months back and it's an astonishing read. Better than any road safety campaign IMHO.
  6. Knightrider! Looks cool on a Hawkeye
  7. Cheers Wuz - where else can I get one then m8? Rather be safe than sorry!
  8. While we are on the subject...what is the difference between these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-STi-W...oQQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-TURBO...oQQcmdZViewItem Car is a Blobeye WRX running 290/300 and is a daily driver.
  9. I think Hypertech are open for 3 days this week, well I hope so cause I'm stopping by for some info from them later today ! Aye Duncan said they are open but then he's off for 2 weeks - no time to do mine till he gets back But I am back at work on the 5th as is the wife (and she needs to do school/nursery runs thru the day) so I need mine sorted earlier.
  10. A garage or just a m8? My only worry is what comeback I have - I don't doubt people can do it themselves but it's just if something goes wrong if you know what I mean? All options considered tho! Hypertech are off till 12th Jan or so I have had an offer from craigmcd too which is promising
  11. my Blobeye is doing the same m8 and my clutch is getting replaced. My aftermarket gauges are showing everything as working right - just not got the same power as I am used to. A mechanic m8 checked it and said the clutch is slipping and that would be the acceleration issue too.
  12. cheers for that guys Aberdeen is a bit of a trek but thats a good price Wuz! Have to wait till I get in some cash for a few websites and freelance graphic design jobs I did before the Xmas period It all just goes on the car! lol
  13. Just wondered if anyone has a ballpark figure for replacing the clutch on a newage WRX. I have 290bhp so is OE clutch ok or am I better to uprate - I don't drive hard most of the time tbh. Just if someone had had theirs done at Hypertech or similar they may be able to give me a rough idea of price Ta!
  14. What happens at the Edinburgh part of this m8? Do they just display the cars or are they driving down to the rally stages (are they road legal?) Or do they trailer them down (more likely I guess!) I'd love to get some pics down in Duns but I'd also like my son to see and hear these cars if they are gonna fire them up in Edinburgh (he's only 4!)
  15. Bringing this topic back to life as I have just had a new oil pump fitted and obviously we had to fill up the oil etc and now my car is doing a similar thing to the symptoms described by the OP. It's a Newage tho so I was not sure how to clean the Boost Solenoid. It seems to go well enough in 1st and 2nd but is down on power in higher gears - sort of revs a bit more than normal and then boosts then drops off again.
  16. actually quite funny but I hope they warmed his car up and cooled it down properly...
  17. Change it on your PC so it does not automatically log in too. I'd scan your PC for remote control software - or even someone setting your PC up to accept Remote Desktop connections.
  18. Twice? Try every 2nd day when you have a 2yr old who loves Cars and cars!! If it's not that it's The Aristocats for my 4yr old!! WTF have I got a nice big telly when I can't even watch it till after 7.30pm!! lol You've got all that to come Oobster
  19. Brilliant job Cal - really nice - KH looks so familiar to me these days - I've watched so many films from it!! lol Really need to take the car on once at least!
  20. No - filter was fine - we had to put a new oil pump in as the pressure relief valve in them can stick - hence the modified ones you get.
  21. New oil pump in and we finished it last night at 11.30 in the snow...fired it up and after it was up to temp the pressure came down nicely Need new coolant now before I can go for a drive! Do I need anything special or just standard stuff from Motor Factors? So glad the little saga is over and I can stop driving the scenic...been a nightmare trying to share it between taking kids to nursery and both of us going to work etc!
  22. I know your neighbour on another forum Greig Co-Driver? heh
  23. might just pop along to Extreme in Whitburn then and get them to do an oil change.
  24. As I now have a new oil pump fitted and my mechanic is out in the freezing cold just now finishing off putting it back together, what oil should I put in it bearing in mind the weather for the next few months. The car is lightly modified to 292bhp and I don't drive it that hard, also doesn't get tracked etc. I know Opie Oils says 5w-30 or similar but wondered if I am better with anything else? I always used Mobil 1 10w-40 in the FTO with no problems and I see some people on here use it too. I'm looking thru so many posts and I think Fuchs or Millers is what I'll go for - semi or fully synth tho? I know there are so many opinions about oil but if anyone has an 03 newage just tell me what you use Also, I think I had 10w-60 in it before but Duncan at Hypertech put something different in but I am not sure what he uses! TIA
  25. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SNAP-ON-1-2-inch-COM...1QQcmdZViewItem He has scooby alloys too - wonder if he is on SIDC
