  1. An oldie but goldie I saw this one today on Flickr
  2. Re the Nik Huber: As lovely as it is I don't think I could play a guitar called a Twangmeister At least WRXmania has the Dolphin...
  3. V power is available in the station next to PC World in Edinburgh according to the guy who just picked up the brakes I had on Ebay. It is a UK shortage apparently. No problem for me now with my non-modified, non-exciting, non turbo Sport now lol
  4. Here's the ride home - was tough tonight and my knee was twinging AND there was a bloody headwind all the way http://bit.ly/dy4Ktt I did sit outside the work till it got a signal and it was perfect - just checked the route and it's fine - also when it has the GPS signal you get the speed info. I also turned off the Wireless and 3G which may have helped. I can only get better at the journey Quite enjoying the challenge and keeping track of the ride I can see where I need to improve
  5. Holy cr@p! Not gonna be easy to shift a 22B is it? Even the parts...good luck finding them. Certainly not amateurs by the sound of things.
  6. I started using Runkeeper to track my cycle to work...knocked 10 mins off by pumping the tyres up to rock hard and locking front suspension The GPS is a bit dodgy on that App but it's pretty cool and gives you something to aim for in beating your times etc. Thanks for posting it up Clicky
  7. Also star - had a day there with the Honda guys for a RR but his expertise lies in the VAG engines. He knows his stuff
  8. C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe C:\Program Files\SGPSA\ie3sh.exe O2 - BHO: Search Assistant - {F0626A63-410B-45E2-99A1-3F2475B2D695} - C:\Program Files\SGPSA\BHO.dll Not sure what page.exe is - but if it is in the root of your C:/ drive I'd remove it. WinSSHD seems to be for Remote Access - did anyone install that for you or is it a work PC? Get rid of those. I'd also uninstall Windows Desktop Search - it can slow your PC a lot. I assume you still have plenty HD space left on the C drive? Have you done any scans yet with any of the apps I mentioned? Remember - boot to safe mode to do them first - update them online before you go into safe mode tho.
  9. Strange, I thought a mechanic or regular would know this! Anyway - found some info on them: I found this info on another auction as I was not sure if they were for a wagon only - it appears they are for any Blobeye 2003 onwards: For Sale a set of Eibach lowering springs for a 'Blobeye' Impreza WRX. I believe the model years are 2003-2005. I say believe because these were sold to me on ebay advertised for a classic wagon. They aren't i contacted Eibach with the part number and they told me they were for the above model. They lower the vehicle 25mm-30mm and the part numbers printed on the springs are as follows:- Front - 11 7700203va Rear - 11 7700206ha The above is the same part numbers on my springs.
  10. We've all seen these types of ads before but this one is pretty funny Clicky Had a quick look on the forum so hope it's not SIAL (or is it a Ken Block now? (repost))
  11. Bit of help needed from the community please I have some Eibach springs which came with my car but were not fitted. I am not going to put them on tho as I want to keep my Sport standard for selling. Can you look at http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=145983 and is anyone able to confirm whether the springs are for any newage impreza or only for the wagons? Is there any difference? Eibach site does not seem to suggest there is a distinction. Cheers guys
  12. Can anyone tell me if these will fit a turbo WRX/STi or if they are only for the Sport? (Newage only I assume?)
  13. wow - seems very cheap - but the pics are from 2007 - must have some newer surely? Anyone checked out the number plate? Yeah I thought blobs were 2003 too but you do get anomalies sometimes - especially with imports
  14. I have a Specialized Hard Rock Pro which I don't do much off roading on but I am using it to get to and from work a few days a week to save petrol etc but my Q. is - for cycling to work on the road should I lock suspension (only front) or just leave it unlocked? Will it help my pace at all if it is locked? EDIT: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...27113657AAi687P This explains it
  15. Remember to boot into safe mode before doing a scan - a lot of virus processes don't load there. Run AVG as fivetide said but also try Eset Nod 32 - you could maybe even go to the website and do the online scanner. Malwarebytes AntiMalware is very useful too. If you have time run HiJackThis on your PC and post up the log - we can see what processes are suspicious
  16. I meant to say I really liked that shot - not easy shooting gigs. Looks like a Paul Reed Smith ....lovely guitars. Makes me wanna play again - I played for 15yrs in rock bands round Edinburgh! My mum and dad are both pro musicians too with my Mum still singing in and around Edinburgh - well known for being a cracking Jazz singer. Think I'll need to get a guitar and a wee Zoom effects box and jam along to my Steve Vai and Satch albums again like the good ole days! lol
  17. I didn't have the hood on that shot altho I am never sure when to use it - it was a pretty sunny day but I quite like the reflections in this and the way I framed the face in a clear area. The black jumper/scarf tip is a good idea...I go a fair bit to the zoo with the family as we have yearly passes so I'll try that next time. Someone on another forum mentioned using Landscape preset mode and it removes the reflections too. Gonna need to get a circular polarizer tho - never owned one! I've seen the results of them when we have had a house shoot for the mags I produce and it really makes a difference - good seeing the pros shooting too
  18. Some of the newest cameras can do those sort of high ISOs extremely well - quite amazing really - as shown above - not as noisy as you'd expect. Here's a new random shot - took this today whilst at the zoo with the family today. It was through glass sadly but I did the best I could whilst jostling Italian tourists out the way
  19. Dunno why people are bothering - no privacy issues as it was on public roads. So people think some nasty crooks are gonna look on Google maps to plan where to nick a car from? Why don't they just jump in their car and go for a drive round the area looking for cars to steal rather than looking on the web at a map that is showing a pic of your drive/parking area from 9 months ago? (maybe less but not much!)
  20. Aye - was looking thru Maplins catalog but think I am sorted: http://www.isaaclord.co.uk/productDetail.a...&parentCat= Got one of these here in my office - boss let me borrow it I am sure they are pretty generic so I will just replace it. I know it's a simple job but I was just concerned about the desk - especially as it is customer facing!
  21. cheers all I am gonna do a pilot hole, the hole cutter is brand new so it'd doesn't chew it's way thru! Stu - I wondered about getting something like that too - want it to look good Not sure where I could get one at short notice tho...ironically there is a place next to us that stores old office gear but nobody has been there for months - we were always getting free office furniture from them! It's a fairly thick wooden desk - a counter in a shop.
  22. I have a network job tonight and I am installing a few PC's and doing the cabling etc - all fine and good. The client has asked me to drill a circular hole in their lovely shiny counter in the shop and I am looking for any tips on how NOT to either burn it or get ragged edges! I have a circular hole cutting attachment for my drill (mains powered one) and I was told to put masking tape down which should help - just looking for any joiners or DIY buffs who could give me any tips
  23. oops, never saw this but would have gladly helped. Spend my days removing stuff from pics for our publications You are in good hands with Stu tho
  24. Fair Deal tyres is in Bathgate - try them too - they may come out as you are not far away
