  1. Craig, it's great fun in the rain. Need to be a bit careful, but it forces you to drive smoothly and you get a great respect for the track.
  2. John, wait until the letter comes in, if it comes in, then take it from there. Dangerous driving is VERY difficult to get a conviction for without evidence that isn't just 2 policemen saying "aye, he was driving like a nutter".
  3. Welcome to the club. What sort of budget do you have, are you wanting a classic or a new age, a good day to day car or something stripped and ready for the forrest stages?
  4. Think it was £90 or there abouts Peter. Shiny stuff - hopefully some good stuff start of next year. []
  5. Yes! You at the meet tonight Stripe? If so I'll give you a business card of some neighbours of mine who've just started a mobile service. If not I'll PM you their details when I get my hands on one of their business cards.
  6. Ehhhhh. Good question. I'll check when I get home rather than speculate from my useless memory. I remember the total, but part of that included fitting that last sensor for me. That gallery plug is a pure bastttt to get out, but now I have my oil temp gauge working nicely too. Thanks to spooks for doing the rest of them of course, and me for doing the interior stuff, but lidl socket sets wont shift something torqued to hell. I found it quite hard to resist the Cusco slam panel/cool rad and various other shiny bits that were on display. I'm a sucker for things like that.
  7. Very clever indeed. No need to put everything on show. I mean what kind of person fills their dash with loads of displays. [6]
  8. HEhe. I'm not so useless after all. Trickest install is still held by Gumball's Defi in the vent, which was stolen off of NASIOC I think, but was still cool as f... Looking forward to what you've done with the AVC-R though. WUZ's install of the defi controller in the forrestor pod is very trick too.
  9. Lucky ...... NAhh. Enjoy yourself Fee. Don't stay out in the sun too long.
  10. Despite being really busy they squeezed me in for an oil change this evening so the car is now ready for Knockhill on Saturday (3 sleeps to go!). It was much to Duncan's annoyance as he can't go. Such a friendly and helpful place with a real passion for what they do, and great service as normal [y]
  11. Is it all still a secret then Craig? If I remember rightly then you were getting an AVC-R, so I imagine the wicked install might be a nice stealthy install of that perchance? Either way I will see you on Saturday. Do make sure and wave when I pull over and let the blue oyster get by. []
  12. http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/parts_d...o+%2894%2D98%29 277mm. The EBC site's car chooser is very useful indeed.
  13. TD04 Hybrid from Andy F? We've all seen how Ally-B's car seems to have torque all the way from about 100 revs and seems to keep going until he's disappeared into the distance. Oh and why do you need a Turbo upgrade on a diesel vectra?
  14. C+C in Hillington should be able to mod the exhuast to your requirements.
  15. Gumball, where was that Photo taken?
  16. That's a scoop meant to fit though. The STI8 one isn't. DR Motorsport or similar will sort you out with a larger STI style scoop built to fit the classics.
  17. I upped the pressures in mine to avoid too much wear on the shoulder, specifically of the front left. I'd advise that if you're using the tyres that you will be using out on the roads. If it's track tyres then .... not sure. Someone with a clue will be along in a minute.
  18. Sounds fantastic. Should definitely get an SIDC presence there. Roads up to Lanark are great no matter what angle you come in from.
  19. Lovejoy is completely wasted on it. I thought it was better tonight than last week, but still not great. Too much faffing about and not enough reviewing or interesting articles. 50 minutes of Tiff hooning about in RWD cars would be much better.
  20. Good to hear Del. See you at one of the meets soon hopefully mate.
  21. Craig, bit of a distance to go with 4 wheels pointing in different directions! I forgot Duncan had the kit now. Who's fitting them for you mctwist?
  22. Any garage that fits them without doing even a basic geometery setup needs their head looked. It's not expensive, so get it done ASAP.
  23. I think it was a W reg. Can't be many girls with P1s out this way. Hell it's rare enough to see a P1!
