Gogsie, I've had them mate. Not funny AT ALL. When my brother was 8 he had basically a kidney full of them and had to have an operation and basically has half a kidney on whatever side it is. So it sort of runs in the family. I was lucky to pass mine, but I still suffered a week of pain whilst the bruising in the kidney settled down. Good luck to you [y] Drink PLENTY of water. The mag days are run to crail/mag rules as far as I know. Which is 60000000 corsas and saxos with 1/2 ton of subs and neons turning up to rag the crap out of the 1 litres. If this was run to Imprezas only + invited cars then it wouldn't be a 30 minute wait to get a run. True Grip's all well and good, but getting the other jap mags or decent tuning mags (not F+M, Max Nonsense etc.) in might help get stands from companies in. MLR, Type R Scotland, Scottish Jap Club etc. too.

Craig, I'll give you a brain dump of what I'd thought about and what was discussed at Peter's place. 1) Try and get some of the big names of drag racing to come from Scotland or from down south. So get some dates that doesn't clash with them doing events down south. Names mentioned - Andy F, Keith Cowie etc. 2) Get a mag or two involved. 3) Invite some of the other scottish clubs along to bring their best cars and have a wee bit of friendly competition 4) Stands etc. from tuners, dealers, mags etc. etc. Mag days at crail can be very busy, so try and run it to our rules etc. If I think of more I will post. It's a great idea and we should try and get a good relationship with Crail.

We were mulling over a similar idea over grub at Peter's a few weeks ago as an idea for next year. Trying to get some of the big names to come up if organised far enough in advance. So yes, great idea to have an SIDC day at Crail, but quite short notice and a dodgy time of year to get the sort of numbers that might be required for it. What sort of numbers are they anyway? So yes I'll come, but only for the spectating as I've given up on the 1/4 mile action with my chocolate clutch.

The big chap at least has a tasteful Carbon Fibre GT Wing, on the highest downforce setting, which is indeed smaller and lighter than the STI wing, and lighter than the lift inducing WRX ironing board. The Pink BMW is often spotted on the canongate too. It's pure class. []

Spotted on the way down to work this morning. Yellow 323 with a HOOOJ wing on the back of it. Also a sticker, of decent size, proclaiming "16 Valve" on the boot. Classy.
