Well that sounds promising to me CF. I'm sure Craig will be more than happy to post up when he will be at wallace and you can show up to see if you have the trousers to backup your mouth. I somehow doubt it myself, but I like to be proven wrong. May the best man win.

As long as the work is carried out using approved parts by a VAT registered garage then it's fine.

You get the warranty book from Subaru Malta along with a letter from them and the original sales invoice in the country of origin. Just makes the warranty all ok AFAIK. Send Subaru UK a fax asking them to register the car, detailing the VIN number and a copy of the sales invoice that MP will send with the warranty book. Or maybe you can just ask a dealer to do it. The 1K service is needed as that's for running it in, but the intermediate services are shaded differently in the book and aren't needed. Although for £50 or so for an intermediate oil change it's well worth doing halfway between services to keep everything tip top. Any VAT registered garage can do the work without issue these days.

Andy, surely the only dyno that would handle the race car is under lock and key at NASA? If you EVER put that on the Dyno then please let us all know. You could charge £20 admission to watch it and you'd still have most of us there to see it.

I thought you'd given up being a wind up merchant Gumball? Did they alter the ramp rate for the big money run Grant?

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Muha. Yesss. I love it when a plan comes together. Peter, we need to get your exhuast nice and warm so we can get some flames mate.

Craig, just the 3rd cat removed, plus unresonated centre and the hayward and scott stick your head up it backbox. The secret's in the backbox [] Listening to everyone elses experiences is helping people within the community build some excellent cars and solve some minor or even major issues with them. When we work together we get great results, not just in getting opinions for mods but in arranging events and meets, collecting for charity and so forth.

He's probably at work Craig. Serving the lovely chicken Satays.

Right, we definitely need to sort this. Dunno what Ally has planned for the next Glasgow meet.

Get well Dougie. Need to see you back at Knockhill!
-
That brought a smile to my face just reading it. I have to go. HAVE TO! Enjoy the rest of your time in You Rople Jacob and Molly.

I upgraded too, and it's knackert my input box. Using Firefox on the forum if I need to hack things. It'll be fixed soon though.
-
You're an enthusiast though Pete! I've seen you battering round knockhill in a 1.6. That's hardcore.

There's a great wee tunnel in the city, a location I wont post publically, that is only 1 car wide and only big enough for a medium van to go through. Wouldn't it be great if we launched some scoobys through it one after the other and caught it on camera? The noise in it is immense, and with it getting dark now the chance of a wee flame from a few of the cars would be great to see in the tunnel.

Should be fixed now Davie. Are you using IE7 at all?

I shouldn't have tarred all "boy racers" with the same brush as they're not all hooligans. I should report for ITV with shonky representations like that. So agreed.

Phil, all I'm saying is that you can pickup an early classic for under 2 grand, which makes it accessible to a lot more people than say an 06 STI. I'm not saying that everyone buying a classic is a ned because that's blatantly not true, but some of the cars are within the price range of your boy racer neon-loving crew now. I'm probably just being elitist []
-
Because early high mileage classics are falling into the hands of people who aren't car enthusiasts but who are cretins that are besmirching the good name of the marque and that deserve nothing more than two kicks in the stones.
-
I know they are Marty, but the website has the pretty pictures of the tread patterns. They're very keenly priced as you can imagine. []

Did you know you could get Yokos for cheap via the club? http://www.sidc.co.uk/article/default.asp?art_id=249 []

Would this man go by the name of another car?

Get any video of it Peter? I do enjoy the flames.

He wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't. Morning Gav! To be fair the petrol offer is really good. 3K of petrol will last at least a week []. Last years PPP was good too, but I couldn't have afforded my car new off a UK dealer. C'est la vie.

I'm also a satisfied MP customer. Had my car almost 2 years now. Had same issue with Neil in getting the warranty book through quickly, think everyone does. I'll answer your cons though: Don't get £3,000 of free fuel - Correct, but you'll save a good bit anyway No alarm, tracker or locking wheel nuts (say £1,000) - Correct, I paid I think £250 for the Alarm and £300 for the Tracker, and locking wheel nuts were about £30 out of the dealer. Warranty runs from date of manufacture, not purchase - Believe it is from date purchased from Malta/Cyprus, but yes, you don't get the full three years, but near enough. Have to register with Subaru UK for warranty to be valid - Yup, easy to do Warranty repairs have to be authorised by Cyprus/Malta - Yup, had rear shocks done on mine without a problem though. Prodrive Performance Pack would invalidate warranty - Not sure if that's still the case, but you'll get better value doing other mods. And you will mod [] they're easy to put back to standard anyway. Have to pay labour on 1,000 mile service - Yup Have to have 3,000 mile service - Nope, service intervals are different (9K, 19K, 28K, 38K etc. etc.), but the intermediate ones are just suggested oil changes and not mandatory to keep up the warranty. My car has had the oil changed between services since I got it, but I like the odd trackday now and again []. I also get mine serviced at a specialist rather than a dealer and that's not been an issue either. No lower grille - Interesting, didn't know that. Have to sell old car privately to get reasonable value - that's what I thought but Neil got a better offer than I did. Depends what you're giving them, mine was an anonymous Vauxhall Vectra rep mobile, his was a scooby. Think you've covered everything.
