You can match the power and torque of this car for less, but are you getting the cosworth 2.5 and trick suspension? 400/400 out of that block is surely extremely conservative, and ultimately limited by the top mount? I'd love to see the cosworth 2.5 hooked up to a front mount and given a few more tweaks. Surely you'd see over 500 for that kind of spec. All in all though - I'd sell my kidneys for a type 25 with the porsche brakes upgrade of course.

Whiteline Alloy droplinks. They're uprated ones. Very solid unlike the jelly ones that come with the car. Well worth it when combined with the springs and a good geometery setup. The Anti-Lift Kit is supposed to be good, as is uprating the ARBs, but start off with the droplinks and the springs.

We've gone from one thread full of petty infighting that should have been sorted locally to one that extends nationally because you've thrown the toys so far out the pram that you'll need to visit 4 shell stations to fill up on the way to get them. What on earth did you hope to achieve Philip? If I delete this then we enter a viscious circle of you continuing to have a fit any time anyone tries to retain a bit of sanity on the forums. I don't need this shit, this is not what I signed up for. I like to help people who put broken links in their posts or who mess up the quote blocks. I don't like to delete threads started by people who have nothing better to do with their time than create a national incident that makes us all look like blithering idiots. Would a wee PM saying "why did you delete that Stephen?" not have been more sensible? I would have replied with "it looks like it had been sorted, but more people were chirping in with their opinions and we didn't need that, thanks."

I still don't see what this post is achieving then. 1) You've called me and the other moderators phuds. - For taking a thread off the forums that was potentially harmful to the club and had at least 5 people saying "delete this". 2) You've suggested there's a divide between the north and south. - Only if everyone continues to think there is or talks about it. Like you. Were you not at Crail, or Dastek, or Alford, or Knockhill? 3) You've threatened to ask for your membership money back if we dare to excerscise censorship on the forums. - Fine.

I've had a shot against a standard one when mine was standard and it was dry and it was reasonably close. At super motorway speeds the 4wd losses were constricting me, but out the bends I was ahead.

Do your droplinks whilst you're getting suspension work done also. As craigwrx can verify they really sharpen the handling up when combined with a good set of springs. There's a place down in hillington that does geometery that JohnSt recommended. Can't remember the name though. OR the place Greers send all their cars too. I'm sure Peter can let sus knwo what that one is.

If you're keeping any cat it would be a sports cat in the DP. Got to agree with comments about the turbo choice too.

Top gear at 8 on BBC2 has already been mentioned. THEN - 23:10 on BBC2 Scotland (or Sky Digical 990 across the UK) there is videoGaiden. It promises to be fantastic as anyone who saw the 10 minute shorts they did last year for the BBC or who has seen consolevania will know. Watch it damn you!

Shouldn't need to upgrade the injectors or turbo for just about 300/300, and the standard IC is good for that.

Are you going to be keeping the standard intercooler? That might be a bottleneck. Jimser and Craigwrx are attempting similar things to you. Jim has gone for a VF34 turbo on Andy F's recommendation I think. He got it off ebay
