  1. Gus, more details of that would be excellent mate.
  2. Gus the idea was to try and maybe hire a runway or something. I'm doing some investigation myself for that one.
  3. Who the hell would set fire to a picnic table? Our Glasgow BBQ at the rest and be thankful was excellent.
  4. A round of applause for Alan as he's used the word bint in day to day conversation. Sir, I salute you. As far as the claim goes - you'll either get away with it or not. Phone your insurance company again and get their thoughts on if they contested the claim what would happen etc. The claimeeeee will have to prove it was your fault, rather than you prove it wasn't. But find out how much your insurance will go up by and if it's not much just bend over and take it. I had a claim for my first car that took almost a year through the insurance companies, lawyers and then almost the courts to fix. A bus hit me and it clearly wasn't my fault. End result - I got my claim paid, got £50 sweetner for my troubles, but had to set aside at least 3 days of my time for lawyers visits and then a planned court case which was only canceled at 4pm the day before it was due to happen. Worth the £50? Hell no.
  5. It goes alright Imy, but struggles against the big horse power cars. Some of these "men" need lessons on how to succesfully negotiate a chicane though.
  6. Fixed them for you. Nice looking car.
  7. Imy, will you be putting up the catalogue then giving us a week or so to decide what we want? I think a hat and another shirt is required at the very least for me.

  9. Pete, definitely do the droplinks on a WRX. Worth their weight in gold they are.
  10. Deadly serious mate. I got my last tyres from them, and got them to install the 3rd Cat Delete and unresonated centre of my exhuast. It does help that the manager of the local branch is our very own Vicki's other half of course. Price and service couldn't be beat.
  11. Wilky, that sounds quite interesting.
  12. Now that sounds like a plan.
  13. Thought I'd post this up to see what ideas people might come up with for possible events next year. I'll start with the obvious repeats from this year: 1) Local meets as normal 2) Trackdays 3) National Day at Alford 4) Runs - the squirrel said he had 3 possibles up his sleeve for next year 5) Crail - organised club attendance like last month? 6) D1GP/Time Attack at Knockhill - great day out for all the family. 7) Rolling Road Days 8) Were we at the motorfair? I think we were. 9) F+M show Known events for next year: 1) Rally show in Lanark I've got no doubt I'm forgetting some, but I'm sure people can post up. So now for things that could be good. For me - the sprint on Sunday organised by the MLR sounds like it would be great fun, I can't "compete" this weekend, but I will probably head through for a watch. Maybe we could try this next year? Maybe we could get together with the MLR and hold a joint event, a bit of a friendly scooby vs. evo match. In fact why don't we try and liase more with the MLR and do a few joint events in Scotland. I mentioned the V-Max /top speed run thing a while back and I've not forgotten about it either. Trackdays elsewhere? I know there's not many locations in Scotland for this obviously.
  14. Tein basic dampers are supposed to be good.
  15. John Cooper Works Edition Mini?
  16. Or go to Kwik fit, give them £15 and let them do it for you?
  17. Was that Tsuchiya in the red car? Looked like his overalls. Best motoring and hot version NEEDS to be put on the telly over here.
  18. Never wanted a "mild" hatch so stuck with sensible cars until I knew I could afford something good. Was very close to buying a CTR because I didn't think I could get the Subaru, but I managed to and it's a choice I'll never regret. Colin McRae obviously has a large responsibility for why a few of us are here, and he's certainly part of why I was a fan of the brand long before I owned the car. Owning it has been more than I could ever have imagined, and I can't see me getting anything but a Subaru for my next car(s).
  19. Good luck to you wherever life takes you Russ.
  20. Enjoy! Don't rag it too much straight away, but certainly enjoy the scooby the way FHI intended - at a good rythm on an excellent country road. Unleash your inner touge monster.
  21. What's wrong Cal? Did you run out of Best Motoring and Hot Versions to watch?
  22. You've been in mine round Knockhill too Bandit. Admittedly it's "just" a WRX, although it is an 05 which has the more STI like suspension as it uses the inverted struts. Not sure who's running a blob STI with Teins down this way.

  24. Well the flame raised one of the biggest smiles of the day for me. Your car was certainly quick in a straight line, but it did look like you were having an interesting time on the brakes because my WRX with standard 4 pots and 33K mile discs was able to slow down better. Get it booked on for the next one cos I need to see those flames again!
  25. That's incredible Andy. That tyre deforms so much.
