  1. Only simple way is to turn the wheelarch liner and get your hand/arm up there You could always remove the bumper skin, unbolt the headlight and do it that way
  2. People have also fitted turbo engines.... http://www.rjes.com/ http://www.tsrengineconversions.co.uk/default.aspx
  3. What BOV/dumpvalve/recirc valve do you have?? If it sounds like blowing across the top of a milk bottle, then its probably leaking. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical-10/81131-blowing-over-a-milk-bottle-noise-what-is-it-again.html http://bbs.scoobynet.com/drivetrain-11/29393-turbo-milk-bottle-noise-a-worry-or-not.html
  4. Worth reading through http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/763923-08-09-hatches-stand-up-and-show-yourselves.html Similarly http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/828990-2008-2010-2-5ltr-engine-failures.html Can be a bit hit and miss, although being a MY11 owner no problems so far Welcome.

    Hi

Hi, will have to stop meeting like this - has the air box arrived yet ?? :D
  6. Who said you can't get them from Subaru ??? Try Googling the part number..........
  7. Should find the parts you need listed here........... http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g10/type_42/steering/power_steering_system/illustration_2/ http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g10/type_42/steering/power_steering_system/illustration_1/
  8. I probably have many that couldn't be discussed on here ;) But this is not one of them or this
  9. Hmmm How about Batgirl then ............
  10. It's a system fault not a setup problem Give the info/details to their parts department they "should" be able to order for you if competent. One reason I've stayed with Adams of Aylesbury all these years
  11. Here's a few more.............. Attended the SIDC/Essex Police Driver Improvement Course - Nov 98 and my original Red Turbo 2000 appears third from right at the Surrey Meet - Jan 24th 99 http://www.otway.com/car/meets/index.html
  12. Not trying to defend them, just making sure people know ALL the facts.
  13. The STi grille (91121FG061) is $242 so expect to pay about the same in £'s plus VAT The rear gate garnish P/N for G12 WRX is listed as 91111FG000 (I assume chrome finish) The rear gate garnish P/N for G22 WRX and STi is listed as 91111FG060** or 91111FG070** where ** is the paint code (NN being unpainted).
  14. The main thing is the Tracker is operational, it's a problem with the network used for the SMS text messaging in Italy. If you think your cars been stolen phone Octotelematics on the number you quoted and they can tell you or the police where it is.
  15. Gordon, VAT and charge added this end, so what Jamie is quoting is what you pay to Subarugenuineparts. The rest goes to HMRC and whichever Courier on arrival in this Country. Was just pointing out you may have missed out some charges Depending upon how the CN22/CN23 is filled in you may get away without paying VAT on the postage.
  16. Your wording seems a bit strange, - are you suggesting that the OEM 4 pot calipers setup dangerous ?? or is it that you have had a bad experience with Ian at Godspeed brakes ?? A LOT of people find the OEM 4 pot setup with decent pads very acceptable for general use.
  17. Gordon, Big improvement over the chrome Don't think your calculations on cost are correct. Have you obtained the international shipping cost from Jamie (subarugenuineparts = Chaplins Subaru) yet?? Cost of both parts alone is $343 = £221 Add shipping, probably nearer $50, given size of grille.= £253 Add VAT and import duty about £50 =£303 Add ParcelForce or other Courier Admin charge =£316 p.s. Jamie Thomas is better known as SubieGal on many of the boards.......... http://www.subiegal.com/index.php
  18. Now why did I post MY03-05 http://www.prodrive.com/up/06MY%20WRX%20PPP.pdf
  19. This may give you a few ideas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3YrzYGNrFw
  20. It usually means it comes with the Prodrive Performance Package (PPP) http://imdomino.imgroup.co.uk/imggb/www/subaru_accessories.nsf/WebInternetAccessories/06DB5A7DC7AE691480257583005180E3?Opendocument http://www.prodrive.com/products_level2.html?id=109&p=12 Same for MY03-05 http://www.prodrive.com/up/03MY%20WRX%20PPP.pdf
  21. Not for the newer cars. My owners manual was updated under warranty.
  22. Some would say that, others might disagree. Been around Subaru's a long time and know a few in the trade. The early WRX STi's were supplied with the wrong owners manual, I had to get mine changed for "Impreza Owners Manual" publication A1110GE, issued July 2010 as the previous version didn't include all the 2.5L engine info. You can also buy the Subaru Hybrid version Service manual on CD (covers WRX and WRX STi models from MY08 onwards - 4 complete manuals) Publication number G1110G-CD-E for £42.60 (2010 price) via your local dealer
  23. Has anyone else tried to dial their metasat unit direct?? It's mobile phone number was supplied on a sticker with "central code" (Codice Centrale) number along with the other system info. Using Italian Country code 0039 I get a "Sorry Temporary Fault " message...................... Phoning the Italian Metasat text number puts you through to a modem, so that's working..........
  24. Maybe, but you still pay €100 per year whether you use the sms service or not, If you use more than €100 worth of sms (hardly likely but) you pay extra.
