  1. I agree it does depend on the garage. I have only ever put in shell v-power/nitro for 2 years now. But whenever I filled it up in the shell service station near Amesbury on the A303 it causes the car to be hesitant and sound rough. Spread the word to avoid
  2. Thank you. They look great quality and I vaguely remember seeing this website before. Will have to see what they can do.
  3. Never heard of them but Bristol and Bath scoobies is supporting that area and know more then me.
  4. There's one in Dulverton and another in Chard and one in Ashburton who is very friendly with the SIDC folks. I've used the one in chard to order a sensor and I can't fault the service. Ordered at 3pm. Arrived for collection by half 9.
  5. I would have taken this offer of co-ordinating something but I'm only back for a couple of weeks then off to the desert again. Even though I do have tinterweb access over there I don't think it would be fair to not put 100% into something. Fingers crossed someone comes along and steps up to the plate. Regards Keith.
  6. Hey there floks, Wondering if anyone can remember a group buy on here a while ago for Tailored Car mats. They seemed quite popular. Question is, Who got a set and how are they looking nowadays? Is the person that sold them still available? I'm interested if they were good quality. Maybe we could gauge interest on another one similar to this.
  7. It's in the tank above the pump on the Fuel pump assembly. Funnily enough, the fuel filter isn't on any of the servicing to do's lists either.
  8. I believe Terry is going away on the 18th ish but if there's enough people interested between the last two weeks of the month then I'll join in the fun.
  9. Hey up folks. I know a few of us were talking last year about suspension and handling upgrades last year at RallyDay. Hope everyone has seen the CDF Groupbuy on here. Prices are very reasonable and considerably cheaper than the other 2 big brands. Come on...... What you waiting for. Hope your all well and looking forward to a meet towards the end of June
  10. Definately a specialists job then! Is the block on a 2.5 WRX open deck or semi closed?
  11. Roger that. Being a boxer engine does that mean it has 2 Head gaskets? I wouldn't ever tempt to do it myself. I'm an Engineer but if it's held together with a cam belt then it goes to the pro's. Unless its an old banger haha.
  12. Cheers for the replies Mark and Mctwist. I appreciate the comments and I know the STi is better thanks to the information but because of all the little personalisations I have done to the car I'm trying to find excuses to keep the WRX. I've been looking at the SC36, VF43 or VF48 for the next and final round of modding powerwise and wondering if these are too big for the car? I'm running 282/325 at the moment and am looking for around the 350/350 mark as this is a daily runner. I'm never going to seriously track her or drive hard all the time. A decent suspension upgrade is happening as soon as I return to Uk (and if the CDF group buy happens) and I have Brembos to fit as soon as I find some wheels with big enough ET. So it will all coincide together before Rallyday........ Famous last words haha.
  13. You don't stop playing because you got old, you get old because you stop playing. Some famous person said that..........
  14. Thanks Mark. So it looks like I need to borrow a battery charger then. What happens if I don't re-charge the battery first. Will it ever charge back up to full charge again? Fully Synth was used on engine oil and top grade stuff from the oilman for the gearbox and rear diff too so no worries with that then.
