  1. Avoid over-revving the engine for the first 1,000 miles, try to keep RPMs under 4000 and vary your speeds over the full range of city and motorway driving.
  2. Held in by clips and probably tight on the vent pipework......... http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_39/body_equipment_interior/instrument_panel/illustration_2/ http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_39/body_equipment_interior/instrument_panel/illustration_5/ centre console.pdf Should be enough info...........
  3. Not that I know of, think it's just classified as fitted with a tracker, although worth asking. Already had my insurance through Gary at Keith Micheals when I got it.
  4. Page 5 of the MetaSat "On the Road" manual below......... msatuserguide.pdf
  5. I bought my first Scooby back in 1997 thinking it would be a car I wouldn't need to mod having owned Fords before that I'd turbocharged etc. - how wrong can you be Even my latest is going through a transformation and it's not just about power mods............. Scoobynet thread here....... http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/896843-my-old-2011-wrx-sti-saloon.html

  7. In your first thread on this subject you stated that historical codes were present but Dave just reset it. Do you know what those code/s were?? The "usual" sensor to give problems around this age is the A/F sensor in the manifold (and it's usually the heater circuit that does down). You also have an EGT sensor in the up-pipe (unless the up-pipe fitted has been decatted). Both these sensors have plugs near the boost solenoid on the drivers side. Can you confirm you actually unplugged the A/F sensor (4 pin plug)?? and not the EGT (2 pin plug) Still somewhat confused, as you state code readers find no codes and the CEL is not lit, what are you trying to fix?? Until the CEL actually comes on and stays on, you won't find any codes especially as the ECU has recently been reset and all codes, including historical, cleared.
  8. Nope, have "tested" them a few times on the twisties round my way................... Just seen that it was registered in Oct 2010 and only had 5K miles on it when you bought it, so assume it was a demo vehicle. I suspect it could do with the pads de-glazing or as you suggest some new ones for a fresh start.
  9. The A/F sensor (wideband O2) is in the manifold, just before the up pipe. Only item in the up pipe (apart from the pre-cat) is the EGT sensor which if not replaced can be mapped out or you can use the 2.2K ohm resistor fix for cel.
  10. No. just helps to prevent air from leaking around the rad. Comes black anodised but looked rather grey against the rest so repainted mine.
  11. You move fast So what are you calling S# ??
  12. Don't see why not, Subaru just needs to "re-register" it for your name and numbers. (probably cost you €100 though) Not sure of red envelope significance ??
  13. Full part number is 22326AA090, although with a front mount and other mods probably not.
  14. Yours has a 3 port boost solenoid. Pill is labelled 22326 in this diagram........
  15. Nice choice However to be pedantic, it may be a 2010 registered car (like mine) but it's a MY11 Edit: Just seen its the best colour as well
  16. Not really but thanks Thinking about it you can probably get away with unclipping the liner from the bumper and just pull the bumper away from it's clips at the sides enough to get a "big" arm in there.
  17. Tis a one person job Will be doing it again shortly for my next project.
  18. Not an easy question to answer. Would think Aztec's to be of reasonable quality whereas it can be pot luck on the bay.
  19. I think biggest factor for me will be the weather
  20. Usually the way, you can buy the whole for less than the sum of the parts. However, maybe quality (or lack of it)could be a factor................
