  1. yea! after having imprezas for 8 years torque steers a new experince! but i am loving playing with it, and especially the toys it came with- mugen sideskirts, aero f & r bumpers , carbon mugen bonnet, mugen airbox with ramfeed from front grill, mugen oil and radiator high pressure caps, piaa lightweight 2 piece alloys, tein coilovers, mugen strut brace and kakimoto titanium tip cat back system and only 8000 miles!
  2. maybe m8..did i have my wee boy with me..... yea, that wouldve been you- nice to almost meet you,and apologies for the swearing at the tv! dont worry Imy,the names a lot easier to deal with than the face! il make sure to come and introduce myself at the next trackday or the highland run welsho,il grab the pax with both hands- i actually had my helmet with me as a friend was there with his lotus 340r- but the head gasket (i think) went after 2 laps! cheers cwrx and emoe -the other half loves the teg, but only had it for 2 days before she went off to usa for 2 weeks. i keep sending her pics of it in different locations tho the l plate bike is actually her little aprillia rs125- small bike big grins! the one next to it is my dads 07 hrc blade and lurking out of shot is my 07 repsol blade and 01 cbr 600 fs and my dads 95 blade-stage 1 tune and 1 owner/7000 miles from new! thinking of getting a hamlyns sign for over the garage was even worse when dad had his rs4 as well!
  3. i spent most of the day being dragged roud the outside of the track by rich as he was determined to get some idea of the layout! think you might have been behind us in the diner about 1ish but i was a bit focused on thre rugby- waste of time that turned out to be!
  4. cheers welsho i thought i was the only one left up at this time apart from rich! the pics actually dont do it justice-the shine is so deep and glossy. the lads at polished bliss knew their stuff when they recomended the jeff werkstat aycrlic kit. by the way, twas an absolute joy to watch you yesterday- think you deserve an award for most consistently flat out driver!
  5. shh, the missus comes on here occasionally!
  6. as it was nice but too cold for the bike(im a wuss) i gave the car a clean after its 'enthusiastic' run back from knockhill yesterday, then in a fit of generosity i cleaned and polished the other halfs new motor and took a few shots of them together
  7. yea, what spec is the pug? made me feel all nostalgic for my old 306, and gives me ideas for a track car... think this was my favourite pic of the day
  8. think this is you? had a great day, first time in ages ive made it up to knockhill and as always the call of the tracks getting stronger- im hoping Rich'l give me a shot of his weapon when he takes it on track, save wear and tear on mine good to catch up with a debearded Dale again, now just a haircut to go...
  9. hi Al, hows it going? me and the other half have just bought an integra from them and i was very wary having heard the stories but no problems at all, were very straight with me on price and making sure the car was a1 and ready to go. we dealt with Niki Dickson himself and perfectly happy with the service- as far as i can tell most of the problems were at dunblane and with other staff managing the place. the scoob wasnt there on tuesday- id have noticed a beastie like that, though they had a 94 wrx wagon with 1400? miles on it!
  10. me and lorna are sad to hear this as despite having only met you once you and Rosie are exactly the sort of people that make this club what it is, but i think i understand some of the reasons and sympathise with you entirely. will hopefully see you at an event in the not too distant,or failing that next years snowman
  11. cars looking goood smiler, your sport was nice but this is great! nice figures, must be a dream to drive- you go for full decat and induction kit or just a new filter? and what chargespeeed splitter you going for and where from? you can pm me if you want as im planning one too so we could maybe get a discount/group buy?
  12. youl enjoy it up here, the scenery looks great at any speed and on a run we like to see all the views if you know what i mean as for tuners i know a few who swear by glenburgie and bitz has a good name too, but like Rich i tend to use AWD in perth, not too far away and always worth it. cheers Dave
  13. how come you went for the apexi rather than ecutek? did you fit the bits yourself and is that pump fuel or additives? sorry for the mastermind session but im putting in place plans for mine and was going to do a mild stage one aiming for 340/350 but you havent gone much further than i had in mind so might be worth saving the extra for a turbo
  14. we bought an isuzu pickup from them and found them to be very helpful, both in sales and servicing, especially so since it got written off in finding a new one. a friend of ours has been dealing with them for 15-20 years and he recomended them to us.
  15. veeery nice Rich, definitely a fitting return for you though i dont envy you trying to keep it clean this time of year! hows it compare to the evo then? hmm, looks like going to have to do some work to keep up with you now...
  16. welcome mate, thats a cracking car with pretty much every prodrive and sbaru option at the time- wouldve been over 30k new very rare and very nice, probably see you about perth sometime-dont forget to wave!
  17. hi Al, modding didnt take you long! the guys who put my stereo in said theyd tried changing the head unit, changing the speakers, amping the standard speakers and came to the conclusion that both the speakers and head unit were crap! ive got a decent head unit, front components, 6x9s in the parcel shelf and a 4 channel amp running them all- huge improvement but without going silly on money or weight. your welcome to have a poke and listen when we catch up
  18. hi did the email i sent you not get through?
  19. if your getting the fluid done anyway Al get Andy at awd to do you a deal on braided hoses, had them done at my last service and made a big difference to pedal feel, remember to haggle then play the sidc discount card!. as you know my cars still under warranty (only 2 years old) but i chose to use them over any main dealer as they were cheaper and more willing to fit me in and they more than repaid that decision by poining out a few areas that needed warranty and returning the car to me running more sweetly than ever. have used aird for my classics a few times and was happy with the service, went in a year ago with my sti and when i went back the mechanic had a go at me for modifying my car, telling me that it obviously wasnt the standard downpipe and what was i thinking of decatting it id get nothing but trouble etc. when i pointed out it was the ppp sports cat as fitted by subaru he muttered something about never having seen one of them before and wandered off. wont be back there again
  20. cheers guys, it seems pretty quickbut shouldnt worry the sti, though maybe i should make a trip to port seton just to be sure.... alreadybeen looking at super and turbo conversions but the idea is for her to have something fun that doesnt drink like a scoob, leaving mine free to tune that is them oobster and ive hgood and bad so il be watching them closely but the car and deal was too good to miss, and once you pass 7000rpm the noise and grin sells the car anyway
  21. well the good news is ive finally convinced my other half to buy a decent japenese car , the bad news is its not a scoob however i wont complain too much as il be on the insurance and its fairly nippy cant wait to pick it up http://www.dicksonsmotorgroup.co.uk/vehicl...9477&popup=
  22. sfraid to say i dont know of anyone up here id trust with mine, not at all impressed with subarus main dealers or service agents. if you could fit it in with a wee break or shopping trip i strongly recomend awd in perth, good guys and open on saturdays
  23. poor attempt! first i started it moving, then i supervised the rest of the effort-hed still be stuck without my careful directions! picked up the new motor yet Rich? or is that why your off to munich?
  24. the only litter we left lying at our a*** was a blue evo there was a group of idiots in front of us , about 17 and probably driving corsas who were drinking and smoking like it was still friday night but nothing to do with us. the only stuff we had with us was sevearal grands worth of camera gear between us,not something you leave lying behind. all of us from sidc conducted ourselves as the club would expect both on and off stage, as northern constabularlys blind eye shows ive been at the snowman for the past 6 or 7 years as well as the jim clark and mcrae stages and work in the forests so treat them with utmost respect.be careful before you go making accusations, if in jest fair enough if not wel accept your apology- either way feel free to name and shame, weve nothing to hide(apart from richs b####y evo)
  25. as far as i know Al its just a change to thicker oil and a new filter, usually the dealer gives you your first service labour free so should be about 40-50 quid for parts. bet you cant wait to unleash the beast
