  1. nice spot! any idea how the tials are going? usually working down that way about now and see them go through but not this year.
  2. jeez Euan, is there anything you didnt break that day!! that must have been one hell of a run through glenshee!
  3. looking great! but give them a good coat of wheel sealant or polish cos polished rims are a nightmare to keep clean!
  4. revolution v ltd style front splitter for 03-05 sti's, currently in 3 pieces and ive replaced it with an ht autos plastic one as i couldnt be bothered getting it sorted but if anyone on here wants to have a go at fixing it before i bin it theyre welcome
  5. got round to washing the car tonight after sunday and noticed that one of the lenses on the piaa driving lights is cracked! always more money, its worse than my gf! anyone any idea where i can get a replacement at a reasonable cost? the lens that is,not the gf
  6. the rotas are cool, but grants right (as ever) the st2's are perfect for your car -go look at an old pick of colin in a 555 car with those wheels on and decisions made!
  7. rich, youve obviously far too much time on your hands so pop along and give mine a clean,it was looking a bit grubby after chasing higgy yesterday so i thought id wash it tonight-but as it was so nice a quick run through the sma glen, aberfeldy and up to blair atholl took precedence looking good though min ,hope you polished your shiny gold under brace too
  8. cheers, and the attachment doesnt come on here lol!
  9. cheers peter, cant believe how much difference they make to the look of the car- and as a bonus they dont show brake dust hasnt made a massive difference in straight line, reckon your spot on in your pm, but point to point and out of corners-wow,grin city! according to andys road dyno i peaked at 349hp/344lb and averaged out on 2 runs at 344/338- find out for sure in july had to do something after that bl***y astra at the snowman!!
  10. thats the only problem with scoobs, theres so many parts for them that you always need/want more! remap on wed and already planning more power/bigger brakes/better suspension/carbon bodywork....
  11. looking good, you must be very secure with your sexuality.... has it made much of a difference?
  12. after years of talking about it i finally got round to having my car given the treatment by mr forrest yesterday, and having had a chance to play im very happy! doesnt feel masively quicker in a straight line but as soon as i got onto the twisty roads i love the cars transformed, pulling a gear higher than before it just fires out of the corners making it much less demanding and a lot quicker point to point, exactly as the man said! so a big thumbs up from me,although it gets kind of addictive this and im already looking for my next tuning hit, price of a turbo vs price of a kidney,hmm-the other half doesnt need both hers
  13. it was the only place i could think to sit them where there was no risk of scratching them . it was ok at first cos the poorboys stuff smells strawberry ish so she thought i was freshening the room. then she looked at the bed.... cheers toby, its amazing where you bump inot folk! you got a cracking day for the run back,i went round loch tay enjoying the (almost) summer weather c wrx you need to do what ive done, get her involved! hence the l plated aprillia sitting just out of shot, though ive got time to be home changed and wash the bike before shes back! the akra sounds awesome and has given the mid and top one hell of a boost-although i do of course use the road legal baffle at all times
  14. did you just swipe that from one of the works motors steve? should certainly make the old girl fly!though you realise your going to have to change your username or wel prosecute you for trade descriptions
  15. cheers guys, having always been a blue and gold guy i wasnt too sure about the colour when i opened the box but now theyre on the car im loving them!
  16. lovely car mate, that or an ra-r is my next step. which reminds me its lottery night tonight!
  17. and full of all the junk out of the house! told dad to make it bigger lol!
  18. shh,i think shes forgotten! it was worth it anyway!
  19. amazing, after spending all my nights this week claying, polishing and sealing got up this morning and saw the weather with a heavy heart. but after going and getting my new wheels and splitter fitted the sun came out to play, proving god does favour imprezas! loving the new wheels, gives the car a totally different look from the standard ones, big thanks to stevie at unit 8 for doing a cracking deal on them and polished bliss for quick delivery of wheel sealant! and a shot of my bike after fitting its new exhaust last weekend, akrapovic titanium can and pipe with carbon tail-light and loud as anything!
  20. been in the exact same situation so really feel for you especially after seeing it at awd the other weekend. but it does make you appreciate how solid scoobs are, glad your ok and hope your insurance sort you a new one in quick time!
  21. i suppose we could convert to lowland pipes without drones and run standard peashooters with cotton wool over the ends. as one of my mates who does engineering keeps telling me,exhausts dont have to be big and loud to be powerful to which i say i know-but i like them that way! and if they complain about that lot wait til they hear the new pipe on my bike,5th gear through towns now! dale, youd be surprised at what ive got in me.... time for the subaru impreza pipers club?
  22. really! im doubly screwed! that does it im off out for a drive with my new straight through system while playing my pipes out the window
  23. hm,similar list as mine! did you go for the 24mm rear arb and how come no front arb? and can i be so cheeky as to enquiore how much roughly? p..m if you want had the geometry done by hypertech and very impressed both with the settings and their workmanship, but cant seem to raise them via emil just now?
  24. classic sti is similar in nature to what youve got, fairly hardcore whereas an sti 8 is much more daily/long distance friendly so it depends on what your after. ive had classics and got an sti 9 now which im getting to love but still hanker for an old one,but then dont miss the lack of maintenance... and big respect for having something as mental as the saxo, remember reading about those in the old performance car mag and wanting one badly!
