  1. thats a good deal your getting there! ds2500 pads for newage brembos are 140 and youl be about 200 for a pair of discs- considerably more if you go to the stealers. they are great though
  2. bought my car from them and after the fiasco that was the first service and fitting of prodrive spring kit i wont be returning. not to mention the fact that none of the original parts from the fitting of the prodrive pack, springs and driving lights were returned to me. no doubt sold on to some one else at my expense!
  3. dont think the exige is an everyday sort of car but the handlings incredible. havent driven one but ive been in one on an airfield with a btcc driver at the wheel who kept doing daft things to get it to break loose and it was sooo controllable. gave me the second biggest grin of my life []
  4. hello and welcome, now burn your credit card! there are monthly meets both in elgin and inverness, beeen a bit slow over winter but picking up now. hopefully see you at one
  5. in this case was it yours, was in weir subaru today getting mine checked over and noticed a very nice 05 uk300 with several mods on it and wondered who the previous owner was as id like to know where the rear window spoiler came from. i have a feeling it may have been cusco's?
  6. thats just gorgeous, the only thing is that ive got a blue blobeye sti and i used to be happy with it [:'(] hope to see it out and about somewhere, all hail the king!
  7. first time in one was in 94 when one of my dads mates got one of the first uk turbos, the noise and speed were incredible. mind you i had to wait to get my licence never mind a car!
  8. hi Rich hows it going? you could ask the awd guys who they use- theyve also got a special exhaust that i believe saves swapping over the downpipe. other than that theres burnbrae just outside perth or mcnaughtons in blackford
  9. would suspect it was passing through, there aint many new ages here and no uk300s i know of whereabouts were you working? and what sort of scoob have you got?
  10. hi Gav, thats me. had it into an agent up north and the first thing i got was "thats not a standard backbox, theres your problem" my problem is that im away all week, though the cars here. you dont do a pick up service at yours at all? il give Charlie a ring tomorrow and see if he can help out cheers Dave
  11. looking for a dealer that can do fault finding,i think a cat has collapsed on my 05 sti ppp but i cant find anyone that will do more than plug in the monitor and say no fault codes, everythings fine. could get awd to look at it but as i shelled out for a new uk car i expect my warranty to be worth something! anyone?
  12. very nice looking motor mate -cmon the sti9s! and though im on my own,im loving the graphics [H]
  13. yep the one and only! always happy to bring someone over from the dark side [] strange how no two scoobs are ever the same, after the unfortunate demise of the first one i got an identical one to replace it with the same mods but it was nowhere near as quick or handled as well. dont think it would have given the cossie such a hard time! got a wr blue sti 9 with ppp, performance is in a dofferent league as is th handling but just not as much fun as the classics
  14. hope that sorts the problem for you martin, nice that your back in an impreza after the skyline hope its as nice as your last ra! im toshs neighbour used to have a dark blue classic, think i had a play with you when you had an escort cossie? cheers dave
  15. okay now this is a strange one but its really bugging me so any ideas gratefully recieved went out to the car one night and when it started it didnt sound right, the exhaust sounds about half volume and theres banging and popping when i rev then lift off at both high and low revs. i had on a tsl firestorm backbox and ive put on a hayward and scott i borrowed but still quiet. like i say it seems to be running ok(maybe less resistance to the accelerator, but that could be my imagination) and ive had it checked on the diagnostics monitor and theres no fault codes, so any ideas? cars an 05 sti uk ppp with green panel filter, 10,000 miles and was serviced about 1400 miles ago
  16. i remember watching it outside while i was cutting the grass, couldnt believe that he wasnt going to crawl out and start shouting at someone. first time i realised that regardless of how much talent and skill you have no ones immortal dehind the wheel. death of the last true legend and proper formula 1
  17. welcome to the club, youl have a lot of fun with a P1, great cars. whereabouts in ross shire are you?
  18. glad youve got it sold steve, but itl be sad to see it go. is it a local sale? any chance of it popping along to a meet again? and any clues as to whats replacing it? it better be something good or wel make you park at the other end of the car park [] ps happy new year to you!
  19. got a pair of oakley ewires 10 years ago and theyre still going strong, they only did about 5 styles back then and my choice was based on them being good enough for mr fogarty at the height of his powers [] must almost be collectors items by now!
