cars all clean now,fluids and air present and correct and map and camera stuck in door pocket, thats me all ready for tomorrow night. anyone thinking of coming along, be like nike and just do it! most of us dont bite and wel keep Dale on a lead. wel be at the cinema by tesco about 7,out for a wee run about 7.30-45 then back about half 8 at the snowgoose beside tesco for a bite to eat and anyone who cant make it earlier

i spend my day creating planting environments for trees so id go with it. theres plenty of community trusts that have bought areas of ground for the public and plant trees on them that are always looking for donations- or volunteers to plant them for those of you that way inclined!

great thread guys best moment, so many over the last 6 years but top has to be picking up the keys to the first one, being 21, driving down the road on a blazing hot sunny day with the sunroof open- just a wonderful moment. also waiting nervously in tescos car park to see if anyone else would turn up for the first inverness meet- the feeling when the others started rolling in then the looks from everyone at the line of imprezas was just magic. and beating a local lad in his shiny escort cossie so convincingly he traded it for a scoob the next week [] worst- without a doubt seeing the first one lying dead in a field 3 years later, theres no feeling quite like that moment when you know theres absolutely nothing you can do to stop a big accident. not the end she deserved at all [] funniest- following my mates to the receptioin after their wedding. they were in an open top 30s bentley and as we closed in on them at vmax they looked back at about 300 yards cos they could hear me coming!

i had bubbles of rust start to show on both my my00's, just above the windscreen seal on the drivers side- seems to be a weak spot on them. burnt your first tank of fuel yet []

depends on what you look at steve, the sort of cars you mention have horrendous servicing costs and parts compared to the impreza,hard to believe though that is! at least with the scoob if you dont run it you dont spend on the fuel,servicing is on time intervals and has to be done even if its only done 100 miles. its one of the main reasons i wwent for the sti rather than an evo. also with tvr youve got to factor in the breakdown costs-if you meet someone with one thats never given them trouble they probably bought it from a talking dog too! but if you include s2000s or 3.0 z4s etc then they wont be too different is this at all related to the link about selling your car? it isnt fooling me, ive put two and two together- you with the chance of 'something special' and Dale saying he wont have his car for much longer- youve bought the shed! []

o so you can find time to go to portugal but not to come to the meets eh,your priorities are all wrong! getting near to the next meet and probably the last one with a run mid week for a bit, so thought id try and get some interest from people who are new or dont always read the events section. usual time and place as stated in events, followed by a short run then back in inverness about half 8 for some grub,provisionally at the snowgoose next to tescos, so anyone who cant make it for 7 come and join us there. anyone heard anything from gee wr1 or jason from the first meet or ross with the rb5 from the second? also like to take the chance to officially unveil myself as the new Highland RO and once again say we need more scoobs from inverness!! pleeeaaasssseeee! cheers, Dave
