  1. yip, its registered after march 2007. im glad it never blew out on the way home tbh. ive had this happen once before on different car but its not driven the same. over the last fortnight had to replace front hub of legacy, rear hub+long bolt on forester and just had to order wheel bearing for car trailer too.
  2. seperate and there sided if i remeber right. no surprise they go given thickness, i clarted everything with underseal on reassembly.
  3. very common, my old scoobs one was in similar state along with front and brackets behind bumper to secure foglights.
  4. well paid the 405 quid last week went out a spin and this is what you end up with: nae fussed about tyre as i have spare set of new pirellis to go on. just strikes me as we tad dangerous.
  5. cheers. was told there was methanol avaliable but the e85 must have been what they meant. will have a search to find out about it.
  6. a wee birdy told me last week that methonal is avaliable at a garage pump in dundee. any truth in this?
  7. the plate just above front sub frame maybe? havent had bother with it before but only thing that i can think of, or possibly two dowels on one side if different box. taking the mount for pitch stopper helps as it can be quite close to bulkhead/clutch fluid line.
  8. very good alan, aboot time. my wheels are fairly chipped with state of roads recently so a wise move there, keeping them off.
  9. plenty in keith filled up twice yesterday and once more today
  10. been a while since ive been to crail. might give the standard classic a whizz up the strip, but wont be competing in any shoot out.
  11. aye, you got a good bargain there. i was half tempted but have a few too many as is. is it no a v5 though? as rear spolier has have the raised lip or the v6 splitter which may have been lost in its past. dont think theres much difference anyway apart from slightly longer 5th.
  12. when my uj went it was more a notchy feeling rather than stiff through out IYKWIM. revs didnt make any difference, although when i had it removed it was near enough siezed on one axis. racks not to bad to replace but getting the two pipes back on to the correct thread is a fiddle with the odd sweary word. theres also the internal mesh filters on pump, i had one of these come loose on a classic. best first check would be the belt though
  13. nice purchase, properly clean classics are becomming rarer. ps. it always starts off as just a few bits and pieces.........
  14. ya bugger dave. there wasnt anybody else from club with us. just as well as the route we took into stage was em..slightly off road and blocked by fallen trees, which dave just drove over i had a slight altercation with a security gate to boot.
  15. congrats gus, its aboot time.
  16. ive devoured a curry there, cant remember if it was good or not but it dissappeared pretty quick. mind you i had been drinking since breakfast at loopallu. sounds a good weekend but unfortunatly it will be lambing season otherwise id have my name doon.
  17. gie alan a phone hes nae that far away and hes fiddled with his own ecu. if it was classic i would be thinking cam or crank sensors but these usually give bother starting, dont know if they would make it cut out whilst running.
  18. its a h&s back box thats on my old car. pretty discreet with full decat without being too loud.
  19. got my dates mixed up thought it was 13th but as its the 20th should manage to scrounch a day off work.
  20. looking shinny min. thats you home and its started snowing again.
  21. raye blocked it just now. nipples seem to be push fit as i removed one from my phase 1.5 car and another from a back up turbo. will take throttle body off and extract reminants of old one at weekend. which reminds me id better get new gasket ordered.
  22. too slow posting. aye, looks like a new throttle body needed, must have been loosing a small amount of boost.
  23. cheers iain ive now found where it should go. top dead centre of throttle body. there is small hole where nipple should be but its been snapped off. looks like i will have to get replacement body.
  24. it must have gone to where ive marked "original" in photo below:
  25. cant find any spare holes on manifold. i think its been pinched for boost gauge, will tee it in. cheers.
