  1. mine had exactly same symptoms. wouldnt even bother draining oil. will be smashed gear with broken bits jamming it.
  2. v4 uk tubo i think. probably does v3 as well. will need select monitor to fit due to immobiliser on phase 1.5 uk car. requires key code to match code inside ecu.
  3. main relay is double circuit with six pins and is brown in colour fuel pump relay is cylindrical and has green connector to it. both found well up in drivers footwell on door side. in classics anyway. check wiring under back seats as i have seen posts where this has become damaged over time.

  5. its the ****ing state of the roads. ive done the same a few months back alan. lowering springs on standard shocks will lower their life expectancy too, surprised at only a year though. you didnt grip the damper with anything while tightening top nut i hope. edit: also a good idea to fit coil wrap to bottom one/two coils on spring when fitting as it stops strut cup scrapping off paint on spring.
  6. put it through a car wash if it stops the nagging. ive got barley growing in boot of leggacy and im sure there are a couple of mice living there too.
  7. will end up with computer driving at this rate. you IT boys are just looking for more work.
  8. very nice min. too far away to give you a hand unless your out visiting yer uncle sometime. shouldnt be too hard to do as theres no dismantling of strut assembly. just the bleeding of brakes but looking at new dampers you could cut lines out of old dampers and pass them through new ones. i would err on side of caution and just bleed the brakes because knowing me i would end up sawing through brake line too. whats the remote adjusting, electric motors on top?
  9. no way does smoking distract you. easily spark up without taking eyes of road. lol at setting fire to orion done that too, no great waste IMO. so are we allowed to post threads with every misdemeanor we find on the roads, it would be one way of making forum appear busy! i have driven my car over 60 miles with no metal brake pipes on car! pmsl
  10. shell helix 10/40 yet to have any engine problems with over 140k on last and 120K on present, also used mobil1 on occasion too. broken pretty much everything else on car :waving-santa:
  11. done, group buy on photoframes
  12. cheers for heads up, will get a copy.
  13. bonnet had been replaced as panel gap was way off regardless of whether steel or alloy. section where front door mounts also felt matt.
  14. lot 14 was on the lift, project requiring completion. there is a black wrx in show room aswell.
  15. hello and welcome. plenty meets up here now.
  16. didnt have time to look at black wrx mate. auctioneer couldnt find keys to open display cases. container outside which had me curious was apparently full of cleaning equipment and wasnt for sale pending claim to entitlement.
  17. i dindnt look at anything non subaru. for those bidding on alloys on stand there was second storage unit that only a few of us got into while the boy was taking photos. i expect these lots to change as alloys to complete the sets were there. i can believe what stephen was saying earlier. there are claims from creditors and they havent sorted that out yet.
  18. *cough* theres rusty and theres never ending work keeping on top of it. wouldnt let you fire them up. oil looked better in my tractor than in a few and he must have had a thing for overfilling.
  19. aye but what a state underneath. as for the others cars glad im not bidding on anything. think the silver sti has had replacement rear quarter and ra had been altered too.
  20. ive taken mine off and stuck it on piece of paper. quite fancy putting one that we got leaving on but like you i would like to keep it and then what happens if i change car at some point.
  21. if business wasnt so good maybe the remaining stock wasnt up to his usual standards, just a thought. will be along for a rake on wednesday
  22. got you now only on sunday mornings mind.
  23. well replacement box is in and cars up and running again. this year i have learned how to remove gearbox and do clutch. this is third time in 10 months ive had to remove/refit gearbox. acid i have no idea what raf means. have you had your box out yet welsho? this one wouldnt even run in neutral, so i expected a lot of damage. i was surprised at how contained damage was. although fluid is shared through out, the internal ridges seem to stop debris spreading much. there is mechanism that circulates oil over center diff dy the looks of it though. you may be able to get your box repaired for not much £££ if your missing the burble, but then again you do have a penchant for track work.
  24. is this a windup? complete scam if you ask me, probably make car worse with restricion.
  25. looks good to me min. wish i could have got vredesteins for that price when i changes mines a while back.
