  1. few pics of my car after getting new inner/outer rear arch and a section of the sill replaced due to tin worm. liam at glenburgie did the honours. i put on new dampers and eibachs over the weekend and its a nice ride with no funny noises or handling traits. since it was a fine day i gave it a wee buff too but not to some of your lots standards. not too bad for a 10 years old uk car though there is a couple of vertical lines in door panels, you can guess why any opinions on removing rubber strips round the rear arches? imports dont have these and ive heard once the seal goes they collect water and hence promote rust. im unsure as they might stop inner arch lip getting stone chipped
  2. epic report as ever cal looking forward to further updates
  3. like i said earlier at meet, cant believe how little damage there is considering.

  7. nae bother min. just got car back after getting rust cut out, new panels welded in and reprayed. apparently i broke a front spring on my way down to awd openday too. you managed along to a meet yet?
  8. could be so many things. windows sometimes whistle, front decat can add more whistle, worn brake pads can start squeeking when warning clip starts to make contact with disc and like you have mentioned already could very well be slight boost leak. good luck finding it
  9. looking good min. need out a blast fan i get my buggy back waynes on about his machine polisher

  13. friend got an rst engine fully rebuilt and there was intermittent oil pressure issues. after stripping it all back down again it came down to hairline crack in oil pickup pipe. worth considering perhaps if garage is struggling with diagnosis. edit: has pressure been tested mechanically as it may be electric related otherwise.
  14. congrats its no as if your car was slow dave i will have to add rocket fuel or something to keep up at next meet
  15. oooooooooooohhhh you get iron brew down south in all seriousness very nice turbo. hows the local meets?
  16. nice car. nice to hear your enjoying the way it goes.i though a 16v hf delta intergrale would have been no slouch though.
  17. been there, done that. at least your ok. you will obviously have to get another since they withstand a fair shunt.
  18. nice one dave
  19. if cars not modded much for power i wouldnt bother with upgraded thermo. mine went on my old car and replaced with fancy one. when out a spirited drive the temp gauge would fall to hardly registering when there was clear road. lower water temp would mean lower oil temp as well. there is sure to be an minimum oil temp for keeping things right. i could easily be taking gash but thats the way i see it. cooling is important if you are stressing engine more. or if you want one i am lead to believe alan is the man to ask about what size drill bit you take to a std one.
  20. deffo to early on a sat night for me to be seeing double or quadrople
  21. i though it was 215/45/17 or 215/40/17 when upscaling from 16" on a classic. might go down from 215/45/17 to 215/40/17 myself as might get rid of std springs later on this year.
  22. nice to know dunc as ive gone through a set faster than i though. will be looking for yokos as well i think.
