  1. lookin good al . think i remember saying going for the black but you were right, going for the body colour
  2. think the rear subframe kit is a good addition too. took me a good while to track the noise i was experiencing down to it. wasted a lot of time removing/refitting exhaust several times as i though that was the problem.
  3. got mine through as well. half a pleasant surprise with free fuel, then again cant believe i use so much when its only a weekend car
  4. worth checking voltage output higher up the revs as well if you suspect alternator shouldnt go over about 14v. be worth checking the main charge lines as well as had something similar with brothers focus and turned out to be earth strap.

  6. can my pal have a slot on the rr with a gto tt? its in the progress of getting new rear steering rack so tracking will be lasered up before this anyway. 4 wheel drive.

  8. well share then, incase it happens to someone else. was it to take cap off header so system wasnt pressurised or some other skull duggery?
  9. most have two. a small number have a resonator instead of second cat.
  10. it was knackered then then. never heard of wheel bearings being cleaned up. they have dirt seals, only water ingress from driving through puddles at speed pushes grease out. new bearing from subaru is not far off that price for the labour.
  11. not good to hear min. update us on what the diagnosis is. if its bottom end you can get new short blocks which look to me to be better value compared to second hand engine. agra does a good job of rebuilding but price is reflected. there was a place in elgin i sent a cast tractor block to get bored out and steel liners added but cant remember the name of the place just now.
  12. theres one for each wheel with pickup facing towards disc on the inside
  13. is abs kicking in when braking gently? mine came on week before mot traced it to failed voltage regulator in alternator. you could try giving the sensors a blast with brake cleaner too as they seem to attract dirt.
  14. i will go with general consensus as well - to get it pressed, done rears on a legacy before. Its getting the old bearing out without scratching any surfaces that is tricky, putting new one in is easy enough. ps. you will need 32mm socket iirc
  15. hi and welcome. dont know about value but being a uk car and been about for a few years i would give it a good once over for rust, wont be bad but there are a few things that cost a little bit to replace. check the bumper support bars(front and rear) for example, underside of radiator and metal brake lines. given its done 80k i would jack up each corner and lift plastic dirt cover within strut to look for signs of oil where damper piston is. while wheels off the ground it would be rude not to give the wheels a shake to check for any play in wheel bearings. all in above to the usual second hand car checks. smoke on start up, fluids, clicking noises on full lock, brake judder etc.
  16. see if u have reed switch in the back of speedo, if u do u can solder on a by pass. if you have a mechanical speedo you could also fit reducer gear on speedo cable which converts kph to mph and as a result moves cut off point somewhere above 150mph. third option would be to wire in hks sld if you have electronic speedo.
  17. i uploaded mine, as long as it 90x90 and under the size.
  18. thanks to all involved also. .
  19. like the graphics, usually think graphics are ott but those suit the car. cleaning engine bay can get addictive, watch out. []
  20. surface car sitting on has to be absolutley flat. had the same and after new springs and shocks it still did it a bit anyway, i needed new shocks anyway. The springs are probably tired though. might be worth checking height of spring seats to tyres on both sides as ive had these collapse several times on a legacy but it gets hammered along farm tracks.
  21. thats pretty unusual place for a crash i would think. its a very flowing road apart from that wee section. theres a tighter than normal corner which starts it off which i would of though would see the accidents, few twists back from this. there is however hidden side road there. Could of been livestock on the road or anything, you just dont know. doesnt sound good with that many passangers (distractions)etc hope they recover cars can be replaced.
  22. u gan to alford the morn? ive a v4 if your wanting a shotty of coil pack
  23. the ones above rear tank are hard to spot. quite a bitch to replace as well if you dont reroute them.
  24. nasty mate, dont be too worried my local garage was very resonable for replacement pipes all over and remot after failing due to them £100 all in.
