  2. Pretty sure they have simply inherited the nickname "Hatch"..... A bit dull and boring....... but then......... [Flame suit at the ready ]

Loves: 1. Biggest and most practical car in the household 2. It's bloody quick! yet comfortable when it needs to be.. 3. Burble 4. Looks! No really.. Not saying they look pretty, but nothing looks like a scooby! ...... o O (With the exception of the new hatch which looks like every other hatchback in the world these days... IMHO) Hates: 1. Stone Chips 2. Running Costs
  4. Thanks for the offer Jen, seems to be all in hand now... If not, will give you a shout
  5. Sounds like a plan... .. I'll send a goat to pick it up
  6. I could travel down via aviemore to a mid point and collect on friday (or maybe thurs) if that suits? at least i've got one of these fancy cars with a wee hatch into the boot
  7. If all else fails I may be willing to travel down on friday evening to collect it from somwhere.. if needs be... PErth/Dundee. would probably be the limit though for getting back at a sensible time..
  8. Might come to that yet mate If we do get it, we may end up with the biggest stand at the event. and beat the Evo's! ASked my dad if there are any Stagecoach buses getting shipped up from down south which it coudl be chucked onto but none that he's aware of at the moment.. WOuld rather not put it on one with passengers incase the stuff get's damaged, or get lost
  9. Cheers Davie, Peterculter works for me if it can be done! Got caught up with the confusion over some cars not being able to take it and forgot about your initial offer.
  10. If we can get it up to Stonehaven/Aberdeen sort of area (or close to Aviemore) I'd be able to pick it up after work, could be doign with a run in the car... Dundee/Perth would be a fair bit of a push and would be difficult to guess when I could get down for it.. Anyone heading north this week who would be willing to take it on a short leg of it's journey?
  11. yeah... It's more an issue of Distance and Time I think.. I could drive down and collect myself but were talking 8-10 hour round trip and 2-3 tanks of fuel which isn't really worth it.. sadly.. But if it was possible to shimmy it up the country a bit over a couple of days, it may make it more feasible for us to collect.. Heh.. you think Phil woudl buy us a SIDC branded Forester with trailer for carting the stuff around in (err.. no...)
  12. Ahh ballz... I take it Cullenmin's Type-R will be out of the question too... (Bloody fancy classics.. Who'd have them ) Yeah Apparently a ski-flap would work for transportation.. I've got a roof rack for the scoob, but that's not much use up here
  13. CHeers John No problem with keeping it all together, as long as it all fits in the scoob. I feel some sort of scottish relay run comign along. Thanks in advance guys n' gals! BTW - Where will thsi stuff be needed next? If it's just Alford, we may as well store it up this way until then?
  14. Goats away!! Thanks guys! Once it's located we can figure out the best way to get it up the road.. I can easy nip though to Aberdeen area after work if required (usually finish at 3pm on a good day). Cullenmin will be coming up for the event anyway so if he can get it that'd be handy.. You can always fight it out amongst yourselves Thanks,
  15. Hi all, ANyone know who's got a SIDC gazebo in Scotland at the moment? More importantly is it available this weekend? WOuld be nice to have it for a Young Drivers Road Safety day we've got in the area this weekend. Last seen at Knockhill I think.. Cullenmin (Rich) has more or less volunteered to pick it up and bring it up the road if it's not being used.. Thanks, -- Al
  16. This thread may be of use to you (was for newages but probably similar idea to classics: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=132324
  17. Nice one! Pleased to hear the McRae is back on the road Now you can spend the next week polishing everyones car up in time for Rrrralyee Had my car in for hte MOT today.. Passed with nothign too painful.. Advisory on corroded brake pipsed on all 4 corners, slightly dodgy rear wheel bearing, and air-bag light on (self inflicted). Also lost the Sunstrip before hand as I hear MOT stations are more picky about it these days Thinking about going for a mini strip in the middle so I don't have to faf about with it in the future...
  18. Nice clean axample of a Type-R! there! Not a fan of the Humungus scoops either.. even on the newages it's looks too much.. IMHO
  19. OK.. last time there was soft things to hit! This time slightest error or overdrive and yeow! BIG damage! Although I think it's safe to say that if there is to be a next gen of Impreza.. Subaru should employ him to do the driving! Let's face it.. that sort of sh** sells cars!
  20. Absolutely class!! Pissin' ma sell with that song all the way through .. That flat 4 burble over the bridge Great vid!
  21. Got car booked into for an MOT next friday and doing a routine check noticed the center pipe is split and blowing a force 10 gale out of it.. Any suggestions on where to get a replacement one from? I see the obvious places of scoobyparts/scoobyworld have them.. Any other suggestions? This is the second split I've discovered recently.. The can on my PPP backbox split at one of the seams the other week.. Grrr! So currently running the ol WRSport one until I get it sorted.. Maybe I need a fatter exhaust Thanks, -- Al
  22. Had the same problem on my bugeye last year.. Thought about getting a new piston/sealing kit and repairing them myself, but decided just to get reconditioned ones.. Good price, good quality and service, the replacement units were pretty much as new very clean
  23. 1. Performance Friction Z-Rated pads front Brembo - Arch 2. Westtra 3. ScoUK - (DS2500 Front pads for standard newage WRX01 4 Pots) 4. STI Pretender 5. Kaylz555 (Red stuff)
  24. Me too! (standard newage WRX calipers) Anyone got any comparisons between the different pads on offer?
  25. My thoughts exactly. If your willing to travel at speed unnecessarily, then you must also be willing to pay any penalties.. IMHO. P.s. Nice car! I really like the RB5's
