First guess is a dodgy dump valve.. Possible too stiff a spring.. if the dump valve piston didn't open with the surge in pressure then it would not have made a sound and forced the air back down to the turbo causing the chatter.. I get it every so often if changing at low rpm but not all the time but that's because I've tightened the dump valve up a bit to improve response between gear changes..

EEp! I honestly thought this was sorted out a couple of pages ago!! I'm with Phil.. We all know where we stand and eveyone 'was' happy.... With regards to ScottyRB320's comments.. YOur spot on.. If the SCottish SCoobies name was a issue it should have been better protected by formerly registering it and snapping up domains.. That (as far as I know) didn't happen in this case.. Few pages ago I suggested a good will gesture of somehow not advertising the scottishscoobies.net site as simply "SCottish SCoobies" as it could add confusion. This seemed to be accepted.. Without the need for cut throat antiics.. ... Now from what I can see, we managed to control the mole-hill problem in a safe and sensible manner.. But somehow it's now turned into a mountain.. I give up on this one....

First and Last V-power will be Inverness... But I'm sure Scooby-Girl or Scooby222 can confirm a SuperUnleaded station in Portree? (Take it they have plenty of stock!) Just working out the miles just now.. Looks like about 310miles (ish) all together (+ getting home miles.) Will break off into seperate groups at the end in a central location (miles away from Inverness ) and those from the north head home north and those from the south head south. That's the plan anyway.. Day 1 Approx 160 miles Day 2 Approx 150 miles (+ getting home miles)

Sad news mate.. But really hope you get it sorted quickly! . o O (Note to self.. stop feckling with the turbo this week )

Hi Connor, I don't have any sort of problem with puchasing the domain.. Afterall, like you say it was available.. the ScottishScoobies.co.uk domain is owned by the SIDC and is purely redirected to the scottish area of the SIDC forums. Also the name ScottishScoobies.co.uk and the logos are also owned by the SIDC. My only personal concern was that ScottishScoobies.net is being promoted as "Scottish Scoobies" rather than "Scottish Scoobies.net" I know it's sounds petty.. My concern is more that it can cause confusion if both sites are being promoted as "Scottish Scoobies". As I mentioned in a previous post, I'd welcome more online Scooby Communities and hopefully you'll get your site up and running again soon! Good Luck with it!

Yeah I've been doing that too.. Got stung a few years back for having a .co.uk name.. Based the site around the .co.uk but wanted the .com to caputre more visitors who assumed .com.. It was registered to someone else but not used.. Contacted the owner to arrange a deal.. No reply.. 2 week later they turned it inot a porn site I've made damn sure I've got all the main ScoUK.<whatever> Domains Although come to think of it I shouldn't really comment on stealing domains.. I own PSWRT.com But havent done anything with it..

No problem guys! -
BTW - I know connor will read this thread at somepoint.. Just wan't to clear up that I am not trying to damn him for the site.. I'm all for scottish subaru communities.. there are several different ones across scotland already this is nothing new.. I'm just concerned about the naming and whether or not the choice was deliberate to try and draw in more members from another similarly named group.. But clearly is not just coincidence..
-
Yeah but they are branding it as "SCottish SCoobies" instead of specifying scottishscoobies.net http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:w0txI...lient=firefox-a "Scottish Scoobies - Terms of use By accessing “Scottish Scoobies” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “Scottish Scoobies”, “http://www.scottishscoobies.net”), " Clearly going to ad to confusion amongst members if both continue to use the same name.. particularly if (hypothetically speaking) one of the groups gets into trouble legally the other group coule be interrogated when it has nothing to do with them.. Not that that would happen, after all both scottishscoobies.co.uk or .net owners are safe an law abiding citizens.. naturally...

Images are duff due to the main site being blocked but: Linky << may or may not work.. Just google "scottishscoobies.net" and click the "cached" link next to the first result. Sure enough.. looks like a "rival" Scottish Scoobies group *sigh* Guess he hasn't been impressed with the SIDC Scottish Scoobies...
-
Ahh ok.. he's on here too.. Up Inverness way IIRC, wonder what he has planned for it? Something which need a fair bit of data transfer by the looks of things
-
That's interesting... It's registered at the same webhosting company that I use for my own websites.. No strange in itself but it's a small(ish) company.. Hmnn... Howd you come across it?

SIDC EVENT Link: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=131782 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guys, As some of you locals may already be aware, we have been given the opportunity to attend a special show in the North of Scotland called called the "The Rrrrallye". The event has come about in aid of promoting a road safety message to young drivers in the area. The event has been organised by local members of the community, lead by Linda Harper who’s son was tragically killed on a Road Accident last year. The Show has been named after the vehicle which young Stuart Harper last bought. A 106 Rallye. http://www.rrrrallye.co.uk/ “The main objective of the show is to get young drivers to come along a have a fun day but also to let them see what can happen when things go wrong” “The show is being held in the grounds of the Keith community centre & Keith Grammar School on the Banff road out of Keith (very easy to find) on Sunday 14th June 10am till 4pm “ “Police Fire & Ambulance services will be there along with the skid car (static) & brake reaction tester. Local groups will be setting up charity stalls, a mini It's a Knockout competition & music will be laid on in the school hall. It's the same weekend as the local music festival so some of the entertainers are giving up their time to perform for us.” They are having to limit it to 8/10 cars per club to get a wide variety of different makes. (*coughs* I hear the Scoobies have space for up to 15 biggrin.gif) “At the moment we have American Muscle Cars, SMF, Car 63 club from Elgin (mix of old cars & rally cars), a mixed stand of Imprezas & Evos (around 20), 106 Rallye register, motorbikes & lastly a group of Stuart's mates lining up their cars to spell STU.” “The cars will be in the car parking spaces around the school.” “There will be a monetary donation to show your car of £5 and as this is a charity event.” http://www.rrrrallye.co.uk/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SIDC EVENT Link: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=131782

Tesco in Elgin is a bugger for it... Line of sight with the Police Radio mast.. Holding the fob over the bonnet while pressing the button often gets me in though..
-
Nice one! Check the wheel nuts are tightened! ... no wait.. that was my trick.. Not sure if he'll get a chance to post here today.. I beleive he's flyign down south to pick her up today.. He still wont tell me what it is but sounds like he's got plans for it! Rich! You may have competition! I'll hopefully get a sneek peek before the Skye trip, but I'll probably have a restraining order set on me so I don't tell anyone

Yeah it's a weird one... I seem to remember in order to disarm the immobilisier you need to do the following. Open driver door. Type correct pin code into keypad. (you should hear door open beeps) Close door. Open door alarm will activate (just door beeps again) Type in pin code and system will deactivate Insert key and switch on ignition within 30 seconds or system will re-arm.. It's somethgin silyl like that anyway.. I need to arm the system then disarm it in order to release the immobiliser..
-
Sadly it's true.. anywhere near a radio mast and my alarm system wont respond to the keyfob.. (pin code works though..) Some local business security systems are now running wirelessly which can mean localised blackspots in towns! really annoying.. But sure enough if you dont hav ethe PIN rolling teh car a coupel car lengths seems to get you 1/2 a wavelength away enough for the fob to work again.. Got caught out once in inverness, ever since then I got the pin code for the alarm so no problem now!

Yep! great idea! I'd buy one!
