See what you're saying there Stu!
The guy I share an office with got done for GBH when he hit a burglar with a golf club. The scumbag got away scott free for the attempted burglary and got compensation for being a victim of crime for GBH! That just sucks!
At the same time though, people shouldn't have to defend themselves or their property - these things just shouldn't be happening!
Signed after some effort....
...should get the email tonight!
Must say though, the non working mum driving her kids to school has no excuse! The school run is something that has always annoyed me - I used to walk/cycle to primay school and took the bus to secondary school, I don't see why kids nowadays need to be driven!
Do the JDM's have exactly the same size (width) rims as UK cars?
If you go for that tyre size on a UK car, you'll be 1.4% bigger radius, which is OK, but will mean your spedo under-reads by 3 or 4mph, so watch out for the speed traps!
I did this for a few years when I first stated driving!
Wish I hadn't though as I lost several years no-claims which ultimately has cost me more money in the long run!
Quote from WRC.com
"Petter was another driver to be plagued with problems early in the day. His intercom failed on the first stage and then he suffered a broken driveshaft on the third, as well as having completely the wrong tyres. He still maintained six place throughout the day though."
"Petter Solberg got his tyre choice wrong again for the afternoon stages but still posted a third fastest time on the penultimate test to hold sixth overnight."
Ahh, there's a part B... seems a bit more like it! Still shocked the 911 didn't win though! Porsche must be cutting back on the press bungs, probably because they've just seen profits rise by 70% this year!
A lot depends on how brave the rider is! You can drive a car fast without too much fear, but riding a bike fast requires a lot more guts and experience!
I've had quite a few run-ins with bikes over the years and on flowing country roads its generally quite even between a Scooby and a decent sports bike! As you say, the car always wins in the corners but the bikes make short work of the straights, so it really comes down to the road!
What's really nice is when the bikers wave to let you know they enjoyed the competition []
I once had a biker do a U-turn just to have a bit of a play and over the summer driving the Splugenpass was warned of several speed traps by a number of bikers!
