I've been meaning to post a review of my new Goodyear Eagle Ultragrips (215/45R17) for a while, but never quite seem to find the time to write a full review!
Had them on for 1 1/2 months now and driven in temperatures from -15 to +18 and on dry, wet and snow covered roads (Crazy winter this year!).
So far i'm very pleased with them and a big improvement over my previous Michelin Pilot Alpin II (225/45R17) although can't say if thats because of the size difference or the tyres themselves. Having said that, if I was in the UK, I think the Michelins (or the bigger tyre size) would suit UK conditions better!
Good to see Winter tyres are starting to become more popular in the UK. Given how wet the UK is in the winter and temperatures are usually below 14 (upper temp of the summer/winter tyre overlap range) they would improve road safety far more than any number of speed cameras! If the government was truely interested in road safety, they would make it obligatory to fit Winter tyres in the UK!
