  1. I am certain that varying your driving (low speed / cruise / full boost runs) speeds up the process It is safe to run your car as normal. Cheers Iain
  2. No idea if this works but may be worth a go ECU fast learning trick on scoobypedia As 'the 1' has said it is just a case of driving the car to allow the ECU to learn again this can take some time. Cheers Iain
  3. You are very welcome mate Cheers Iain
  4. Im sorry but this thread makes me laugh, to be complaining about ads (viewed only by non-paid members) over all the good points that this club has to offer (to non or paid members) suggests to me that some people just wanted to have a whine about something for the sake of it (before you say it you are allowed to express your opinion). Here is my opinion, I have owned various Subarus over nearly 6 years now and have used the forum since my first scoob, firstly I would like to say that the social side of the club, be it local meets or national events is fantastic I have met loads of great and interesting people, ok there have been a few not so great but thats life, and I have been part of many great events The RB relay and the Colin McRae Gathering to mention a few, also using my local SIDC group in Oxon as an example, any of them would without second thought jump in to assist any other member / forum user out where ever they could, that alone would be worth the membership to me, you cannot buy friendship but I would happily pay the membership fee just to know that I had local friendly support with the Scoob via the club. Secondly the tech support via the forums is fantasitc, one well placed question in the right place on here and you can save the cost of the membership in one post believe me I know this to be true. Subaru main dealers and other popular Subaru supporting companies offer savings on parts and labour again the cost of membership can be saved in one service alone. Out of all the good points the club has to offer I think we can live with a few ads on the forum, it is really hard to please everyone I know but I am 100% certain that the pros of this club and the membership far out weigh the cons Cheers Iain
  5. If you want a good hike in power prior to mapping I can strongly recommend the afterburner manifold and up pipe it saw me an extra 25bhp over the standard manifold and up pipe, I doubt that you will notice any real difference in swapping the down pipe you have for an open necked one if anything the one you have fitted will extract the exhaust gas quicker as the gas flow is not directly mixed with the bypass flow at the wastegate port on the turbo. Cheers Iain
  6. No problem mate, good luck Cheers Iain
  7. Shame thats a straight entry one , the one I have is for an earlier scoob sorry. Cheers Iain
  8. I have one but its a 90deg entry one, what model year of scoob is it for? Cheers Iain
  9. No problem Ed, just letting you guys know that you are more than welcome to pop over to any of our meets either for a change or to meet some new faces etc. Cheers Iain

  12. The enlarged hole in the airbox makes all the difference plus it is getting the cold air feed direct from the wing, it was just an idea mate Cheers Iain
  13. Without a FMIC fitted, the standard airbox with enlarged inlet hole, removed resinator box and decent panel filter is the best and safest cold air option for the classic scoob. Cheers Iain
  14. Is the noise constant on boost? When exactly does the noise appear? Cheers Iain
  15. I read it right he said as it warms up, Just trying to help, it is quite common to get steam from the exhaust whilst the car is warming up that is all I am trying to say, does the smoke clear once the car is hot? Cheers Iain
  16. What model year of scoob do you have (I am assuming its a TD05 turbo you have fitted) and when does the noise appear? Cheers Iain
  17. Is it defo smoke, if it is only present as the car is warming up it could well be condensation from the exhaust. I know that turbos do fail on the scoob but it is very rare and they usually outlast the car. Cheers Iain
