  5. I would check the cats I know it would be odd for one to fail in such a young car but it would be well worth checking out and it gives the same symptoms as described. Cheers Iain
  6. This looks like its going to be a great event Cheers Iain
  7. I know it would be odd for this to happen on a newer car like this but have the cats been checked, I saw symptoms very simmilar to this on a classic scoob not that long ago, the car would start, idle and run fine but had zero boost not even wastegate pressure, it turned out to be one of the cats had failed and was blocking the exhaust, there were no other obvious faults, it may be worth a look. Cheers Iain

  9. Ok here are the basics, Menu navigation uses all the buttons on the front of the Avcr Prev = back 1 menu step Next = on 1 menu step Up = An up selection on the menu or Increase when altering any boost settings Down = A down selection on the menu or a Decrease when altering any boost settings. I will give you simple menu steps from the boost display screen. 1. Press Prev twice this should take you back to the MAIN menu. 2. Press Down once to put you onto the Setting [A] or (whichever is displayed) 3. If you now press the LEFT arrow this will switch off your boost and be displayed [OFF] 4. To switch your boost on again simply press the RIGHT arrow. 5. From the Settings [A]/ (which ever setting it was on when you navigated to this menu step leave it on for the next steps) line press the NEXT button this will take you to the SETTINGS menu. 6. At the top of the SETTINGS menu you should see BOOST DUTY press NEXT on this. 7. From this screen you should see your target boost and boost duty settings, please let me know what both your target duty and boost duty % are. Go back to the SETTINGS menu (by pressing PREV) and navigate through all the other settings ie, NE point/ Scramble/ F/B speed etc and make a note of what they are all set to then let me know. You should now be able to switch off your boost (Navigate from the main display screen by pressing PREV, until you see the Setting [A] or screen then navigate the highlighted bar onto the Setting [A] or line and simply press the LEFT arrow to switch your boost control off) Navigate back to your Monitor screen so you can see the boost With the boost control off take your car for a run and record what your peak boost is. Does your main display screen just show you boost or does it show more that that ie Boost + RPM etc I hope you are following this mate Cheers Iain
  10. Just got back in from work so will sort the instructions asap mate Cheers Iain
  11. Its sorted now fella, we will be going but it cant be as an SIDC event for now, so this will be a personal event for anyone who wants to go, there will be no stand but I am sure we will be able to camp together and make a good weekend of it Cheers Iain
  12. It would be quicker telling you probably I will go and write you up some instructions fella. Cheers Iain
  13. I want to go ahead with this one really I can see no harm in what we have planned to do mate. From here on this event is for anyone who wants to attend a day or a weekend of camping at Santa Pod with some fellow scoob owners and petrol heads, its the only way it can be done. Oh and bring some beer and bbq stuff too Cheers Iain
  14. This event is turning into a bloody nightmare, it may not be worth the hastle Half tempted to have the thread deleted and be done with it. Cheers Iain
  15. Would be cool if you, Ed+SP and a few others could make it, would you be staying over? Its a right laugh if there is a few of us camping over the atmosphere is great, beer + bbq etc Cheers Iain
  16. No we will not be having a stand mate, that is due to matters out of my control Cheers Iain
  17. Ok first we need to know what your base or wastegate pressure is mate. Do you know how to switch off the boost on your Avcr (if not I can explain how), if so do that and take it for a run with the boost set to off, then if you can monitor the max boost you see then watch to see if the boost is stable ie does it hold, increase or fall away if you continue to accelerate. Let me know what you find and we can take it from there. Cheers Iain
  18. I think the difference you have seen is due to the Avcr being fitted not the front mount change, I am having a think on this one now and will give you a few things to try mate. Cheers Iain
  19. Out of interest what turbo are you running mate. Cheers Iain
  20. Hi all I thought I would offer this out accross the fence. If any of you fancy coming have a look at this thread, a link to the Jap Show website is included. Thanks for looking. Cheers Iain
  21. Hi all Just a quick post to see if anyone wants to go to this event............JapShow Website If you are interested in attending this event please put get your names on the list below. 1. Big 'D' 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Come on guys lets make a go of this one Cheers Iain
  22. LOL beat me to it, the battery clamp rod fits the thread in the pin perfectly to make extracting it easy Cheers Iain
  23. On the passenger side of the gearbox right next to where the starter is mounted there is a round plug with a 10mm (i think) allan key drive in the centre of it, if you remove that this will expose the pin, the pin has a threaded hole down its centre, if you remove one of the battery clamp rods you can screw the rod into the pin and withdraw it, then lift the clutch lever out of the gearbox bell housing, it wont come out through the top but move it up out the way if you get my meaning. Cheers Iain
  24. Have you removed the clutch pivot pin? Cheers Iain
