  4. Totally agree feel that we have done nothing but waste our time, we were doing this so that we could have a better experience at the show but obviously not everyone wanted that, what a bloody joke, I am not impressed in the slightest. Next time you want something doing guys dont ask me to sort it for you unless you are going to be 100% behind me this it a complete joke. Very, very, very angry now, it could have been so much better Thanks for nothing Iain
  5. I'm in too, just be aware the local PD have been very interested in cars recently so lets try not attract attention to ourselves Cheers Iain
  6. Only 2 days left guys and only 3 more weekend bookings required to book the camping. Cheers Iain
  7. What and chav it up with the locals in Witney Cheers Iain
  8. I am very tempted to put the funds raised towards a local Santa Cruise if nobody has any objections, I am open to other suggestions yet though Lets call the challenge 78 000kgs within 8 hours then, is that tough enough for you Cheers Iain
  9. Hi all If there are a few of us online in Oxon why not use this chat room............Oxon Scooby Crew Chat Room, to communicate with other members instead of using PM's and posting on the forum Let me know how you get on with it please. Cheers Iain
  10. Just 3 more confirmed bookings before we can make a club booking, I feel at this late stage that it would be worth just making a campsite booking so that we are all together and leave the stand but we will se how it goes, we have 3 more days to get the numbers up or I am pulling the plug on the club booking and we will just have to try our best to get in together so we can setup camp together in the public campsite. Come on guys we are so bloody close now I will be very dissapointed if we fall short by one booking. Cheers Iain
  11. I'm off to Bill Gwynne's on the 30th Full day rallying, I cant wait. Cheers Iain
  12. Hi guys just to give you a rough idea of what I am cabable of, this moring I worked on my back in the gym and moved a total of 13532kgs in under 2 hours (including alot of chatting, sorry Myles ), obviously I will have to drop weights and lower the reps as the day goes on but I am 100% confident I can do this in a day So who is going to sponsor me and what charity shall we give the money too? I will let you guys decide, perhaps a local charity if we can, or even towards a local Santa Cruise? Your choice people. I will sponsor myself £10 to get things going, will need to sort out some sort of online sponsorship form if that is possible if anyone can help with that? Once we have sorted the details out I will get sponsorship forms etc made up and get you all to go round work etc to raise the funds if thats ok with you guys This should be fun Cheers Iain
  13. If I mixed the wourkout and used smaller weights I recon I can do it in a day. Cheers Iain
  14. Stuff that matty thats double the weight and some lol Cheers Iain
  15. VC10 weights about 78000kgs So how long would I get to lift this mammoth weight ? Cheers Iain
  16. Too easy think bigger, I will be adding the weight of every rep of every lift I do to finnaly reach the target weight, remember its not an all out deadlift of an Impreza I am aiming for it is to add the weight from every rep I do together until I reach the target weight, I can perform any exercise during the time limit. So for example if I do 10 leg presses with a weight of 100kg that = 1000kgs if I was then to bench press ten reps @ 50kgs the total would then be 1500kgs and so on, give you a clue I can easily clear the weight of a Scoob in one set of 10 reps in some exercises Think big and exciting guys. Cheers Iain
  17. Hi all I have been hitting the weight training quite hard over the past 3 to 4 months and feel that I would be up for a little Charity Challenge , the idea being that I could attempt to lift the equivilent weight of an object within a set period of time, for example I have seen one guy lift the weight of a 747 within a set time period, not only would this challenge my physical condition I think it would be great fun too. What I need from you guys is............... A target weight equivilent to ????????? (something interesting) A set time to achieve the target weight in. Cheers Iain
  18. Well that may be true, on the other hand I never expect anyone or everyone to be at everything, what bothers me is nobody turning up for anything or wanting to do anything, I can fully understand your situation as you are not really that local to us although you are both always very welcome. The club (locally) is lacking any drive or enthusiasm to get involved with anything and I am and will keep looking for ways to improve this. After all we cant plan or organise any events if no one wants take part can we (Japshow is a prime example of this) Cheers Iain
  19. What I am after is suggestions that you think would make the club better both locally and nationally. (pWhilst you have your thinking caps on please remember the club is not just about the forums so dont forget that we are a very mobile, phisical and social club too ) So get your thinking caps on guys and see what you can come up with, please remember its not just down to the R/Os to make things happen it requires alot of input and commitment from you the members/forum users too. Cheers Iain
  20. I am not so worried about the forums as such its the overall club atmosphere that seems pretty low and trying to organise anything is becoming a right task as few people get involved any further than saying they are interested, I feel that the summer should be the better time of year for the club and it seems that we are wasting it, I know it is hard to get everyone interested and involved but that is not going to stop me from trying. Cheers Iain
  21. I have always found the club very friendly and full of banter too, that is and I am sure never will be in question, what ,my question was aimed at is the lack of drive and motivation to do anything as a local unit to make the club a more involving and fun scene to be part of. I know times are tight finacially but that is no reason not to have fun, things can be done on the cheap too Keep the feedback coming guys Cheers Iain
  22. Hi all I would like to hear all (if any) of your thoughts on anything that could be done, added, removed, changed etc within the club to make it more appealing to you. I cant help but notice that the local involvement within the club is at an all time low, is there any real reason for this? Cheers Iain
