  5. Oh Andy you are having no luck at all with this car mate, I will have to hear the knock to have any idea of what it could be sorry, if you rev the car lightly from the throttle body (where the throttle cable goes to) does the knock go away? also if you give the engine a rev then rev it again as the revs are dropping of (if that makes sence to you) does it knock at the point you catch it as the revs are dropping off? I am hopiing its just piston slap, fingers crossed. Cheers Iain
  6. Great Andy it will be nice to see you both and questions are more than welcome Cheers Iain
  7. I assumed you were running a VF35 by what was on your signature on the bottom of your posts sorry. Your standard turbo should be a VF23 a very punchy mid range turbo that I think would see you to the same sort of BHP as the 34 or 35 perhaps just a little bit slower on the spool up thats all, I find the VF23 quite a noisey turbo too, get a bit of a whine off them as they are idling : Cheers Iain
  8. Its not all about big BHP If you want any help or advise on how to get the best from your VF35 (if thats what you have fitted) then please just ask, or speak to Marc (Scooby22) , if you ever want a run out in my Ver 3 Sti just let me know Cheers Iain
  9. You are more than welcome anytime mate, we will save a seat for you regardless Oh the PM you sent the other day was a little premature, another week to go yet. Cheers Iain
  10. I have to agree, I think the VF34/35 will be pretty much out of puff by 380bhp at best. Cheers Iain
  11. Any more coming to this one? Cheers Iain
  12. Unless you know of somewhere that would build your engine for you the replacement block would be a cheaper option, I went down the rebuild road with my Sti and it cost a fortune Cheers Iain
  13. Hi mate, great to see that you are still about Good choice in second car by the way I bet she loves it, the Forester is a great car. Cheers Iain
  14. I would recommend either the intake resinator box delete with a good panel filter ie Pipercross or an Apexi Power Intake system, as for the exhaust either the Afterburner Vortex or the Blitz Nur Spec would be my recommendations. Cheers Iain
