  11. The VF35 as stock will spool just as fast if not quicker than the VF34 due to the size of its turbine, with an uprated actuator and ported wastegate like mine I am seeing 1.3+ BAR in as low as 2nd gear, thats not to say that the VF34 would not suit your needs as it too is a very good turbo, as for the antilag it puts massive stress and heat through the turbo, unless the turbo was setup to cope with the higher temps I could not say that it would last very long at all, I get my turbos from the Bucks subaru centre a breakers over by High Wycombe. I am not sure how the VF34/35 will cope with running pressures of 1.5BAR either it may be worth looking into. Hope this helps Cheers Iain
  12. The VF34 would probably be totally out of puff by 370-380bhp something like the TD05 20G would be a good choice for getting 400bhp, depends how you want your car setup, if you want sheer acceleration I would suggest sticking with the smaller VF34/35 turbos but if its all out HP you are after then the TD05 20G would be the ticket to seeing your 400bhp. Cheers Iain
  13. Hi fella I have a VF35 setup mapped @ 1.35 BAR with a frontmount setup and 440cc injectors, I am currently running at 350bhp so there should still be scope for further power for you with the frontmount and 550cc injectors fitted. Cheers Iain
  14. Oh I just remembered mate I have a selection of spacers and springs for the Forge DV so if you want me to set it up for you that would be no hastle Cheers Iain
  15. I though I had explained this to you mate The tuning kit comes with some spacers in it, if you get hold of the tuning kit and put 2 or 3 of the spacers in with the blue spring this will solve your problem it, is perfectly normal I just dont understand why they dont come with a slightly stronger spring setup as standard I may have a word with them, it may be worth an email to Forge explaining that your new DV is leaking on boost they may send you a tuning kit out Cheers Iain
  16. I have been told by a local motorfactors near me (where I get mine) that the NGK PFR7B is the same as the plugs used in the Alfa Romeo twinspark engines, most motorfactors stock these or can get them in and cost about £40 ish. Cheers Iain
  17. That could have been nasty mate, glad you got your civic back though Cheers Iain
  18. Looks the dogs danglies mate, good job Cheers Iain
  19. Hi all I firmly believe that what goes around comes around and it did in this case, over the past week or so my poor Sti had developed a pain in the ass hunting carry on at idle, so I spent a while today trying to sort it and through a process of elimination I narrowed it down to the IACV itself, oh damn I thought, of all the things I dont have a spare for that had to be it , having just changed an engine over for Simon I phoned him up on the offchance that the could spare the old IACV to which he said yes mate help yourself infact its in the boot of the car and I can meet you on the way home from workm so I shot over to meet him swapped the bit over and all is perfect again. So a massive thanks from me and the beast to Simon for your help today Cheers Iain
  20. Will be great to see you guys there too Cheers Iain
  21. I guessed that you had an induction kit fitted, this would have been a good safe option if you had fitted the kit yourself and still had the standard filterbox etc, not sure of the truth behind this but I have seen alot of threads/feedback stating that the bonnet scoops can upset the airflow into the intake by causing a massive turbulence within the engine bay at speed which in turn could upset MAF readings and engine performance (I have not seen any proof of this but I do know that the straighter the airflow is presented to the MAF the better it works and the faster the air will flow though the system), so I would recommend that out of the two options you have to fit the filter in the wing as high up as you can, I have also seen these recently Bypass filter link, the thought behind this piece of kit is to prevent/reduce the risk of ingestion of water through wing mounted filter setup, it sould be mounted as high up the intake system as possible (can explain further if required ). Hope this helps Cheers Iain
  22. And miles behind me Cheers Iain
  23. Do you have a front mount intercooler fitted? The only reason I ask is that the standard airbox setup with a good panel filter, the resinator box removed and an oversized intake hole works very well, obviously you could not do this if there is frontmount pipework in the way. Cheers Iain
  24. You guys are the best, I just fell of the sofa in a fit of laughing and shock Thanks everyone Iain
